We hosted our FREE Under 18 Backyard Arcade Little Flippers tournament yesterday! And WOW was is a fun one! This was our largest kids tournament yet with 14 players from 3 years old up to 11, AND we welcomed 6 first timers into the fun!

Our day was set for 5 rounds of Matchplay on machines spanning over the past 40 years! Needless to say is was set to be a popcorn and fun filled day!

After 5 rounds we had a tiebreaker for 1st between twins Miles and Calvin on King Kong! After a great game concluded it was Calvin who was able to take the win over his Brother and bring home a Grand Champion Medal 🥇
2nd Place🥈- Miles
3rd Place 🥉- Thora
4th Place 🏅- Finnleigh

All of our contestants played so great and everyone left with a prize on the day! We had an absolute blast yesterday and we cannot wait to see you next month, October 19th at 1pm to do it again!

Join us tonight for our September Monthly Open Pinball Tournament! We are running an amazing race format tonight. Play your whole game out and try to beat the lowest score. Low score on each machine will be eliminated.

$2 entry fee plus coin drop for tonight.

Tournament starts at 7pm but you can stop in a little earlier to get started on the action early. We will be letting players get their first games in as people show up! It’s is again to be a blast for all ages and all skill levels.

Beach Bash #15 is in the history books! Thank you all for continuing to support the largest monthly tournament here in Wilmington, NC. We couldn’t make it happen without you. Thank you to those who travel near and far to play a whole day of pinball with us.

Without further ado here is your Beach Bash 15 recap. We started our day with a total of 16 players battling for 5 rounds of 2 game per for our 10 game qualifying round. We then took our top 8 players to a head-to-head double elimination bracket!

Our next open tournament will be an Amazing Race held on Monday September 29th starting at 7pm. If you can get here earlier around 6-6:30pm we can get some individuals started a little early as this tournament style is focused on each person playing their own game alone and the person with the lowest score will be eliminated.

Backyard Arcade Friday Night Fall league is off to a hot start after this past Friday’s Week 1!

We had 22 players in attendance with two new players joining us for the very first time! Welcome to Mary Alice and John!

We welcomed Deadpool Pro into our lineup as we plunged farewell to Dungeons and Dragons.

For week 1 we used IFPA seeding which paired up similarly world ranked players against each other, and bid newer players against other newer players. We played 5 games all within the same group for the night and we had tons of fun flipping it out and getting some practice before our Beach Bash 15. After 5 games Matthew W was our top flipper of the evening ending his night with 27 points. Our newcomer John H finished right on Matthew’s heels ending his night with 26 points. Jai S was pushing the top two along as he ended his night with a nice 25 points. Rounding out our top group of flippers we had a 4-Way tie for 4th with Steve E, Dale B, Ryan F, and Kristen M all ending their nights with a respectable 23 points.

Can’t wait to bring everyone back for week 2 this Friday evening at 7pm.

Last night we hosted for their monthly Ladies only Belles and Chimes pinball tournament! We had 5 ladies join in on the pinball fun! We shared some laughs, some popcorn, and jammed out to some good tunes all while enjoying some friendly pinball competition!

Congratulations to Flee for winning the Stern Pinball Iron Maiden translite!

After a tie breaker on Godzilla, it was Kristen M who walked away as the September Belles and Chimes Champ 🏆

Congrats Ladies !

The next Belles and Chimes event will be held on Thursday, October 9th @ 7pm. Make sure to mark your calendars!

Mark your Calendars for our 15th installment of our Famous monthly Beach Bash Pinball Tournament 🍉‼️🚨

September 20th at 12pm noon we kick off our group Matchplay qualifying tournament! Entry fee is $5 plus Coin drop, which includes FREE popcorn, a meal halfway through the day provided, and your entry into our drawings for the tons of prizes we will draw at random throughout the day! All ages and all skill levels are always welcome to join in on the fun! The more the merrier, so grab your friends and family!

Doors open at 11am and tournament begins at 12pm!

Stop in anytime before the 20th to pre-register with Sean or Dale!

Backyard Arcade Friday Night Summer League is in the history books!
We had 47 unique players showed up for at least 1 event in this 6 week league, and we had 23 players show up to at least 3 events to get their league credit! This was our largest league yet and we are still growing!

We were able to take our top 8 players from 6 weeks of qualifying and have them duke it out for one last tournament so we could crown our winner! In our Semi finals Group 1 we had Michael M(Seed 1), Alex B(Seed 4), John B(Seed 5), and Kristen M(Seed 8) grinding it out for 4 games of play on Pulp Fiction, White Water, Diner, and Star Wars. In Group 2 we had Sean T(Seed 2), Chris R(Seed 3), Lynn S(Seed 6), and Bryan R(Seed 7) competing on TMNT, Monster Bash, Twilight Zone, and Pulp Fiction.

After the 4 games from each group settled the top 2 players from each group move on to play each other for a final 4 games. Moving into the Final we had Michael M and Kristen M from group 1, and from group 2 we welcomed Sean T and Chris R to join the competition. The final 4 games our finalists competed on were Star Wars, Hurricane, Twilight Zone, and Iron Maiden!

The competition all night left everyone with white knuckles as we watched some super close games come to a close as well as some monster scores being put up! After the dust was all settled and all the after ball bonuses were awarded we were left with our podium.

This Friday night will be an open play night until 10pm. No leagues or tournaments so grab your family, grab your friends and come out to play some fun pinball together.

Backyard Arcade Friday Night Fall League will be starting back up SEPTEMBER 19TH @ 7pm, mark your calendars.

Beach Bash #15 is scheduled for Saturday, SEPTEMBER 20th at 12pm NOON

Our Finals are set for our top 8 qualifiers after 6 weeks of play. It comes down to this final night to see who will be crowned as the Backyard Arcade Friday Night Summer League Champion!

Come out and support our flippers and see who we crown as the Champ 🏆

Players who are seeded 8-12 are encouraged to show up as we may need to add alternates if some players in the top 8 cannot make the event.

We will also be hosting open play until 10pm this Friday for anyone who just wants to come out and play.
