After nearly a decade of leadership, Catalina Island Health CEO Jason Paret will step down from his position as of September 30, 2025. In his time as CEO, Paret has a long list of accomplishments. He played a transformative role in expanding care, guiding the passage of Measure H to fund a new hospital, and forging key partnerships—including a clinical affiliation with UCI Health.
Current Chief Strategy Officer Tim Kielpinski will take over as CEO on October 1, 2025, immediately following Paret’s departure. He has been with CIH since January 2024, after seven years as COO of the Catalina Island Conservancy. With strong leadership skills and a broad understanding of operations and construction—especially on the island, Kielpinski is already playing a critical role in all aspects of CIH's current and future goals.
The CIH Board expressed gratitude to Paret and full confidence in Kielpinski’s leadership moving forward.
