“Compassionate” is the word often used by patients, colleagues, and community members to describe Dr. Stephanie Myles.
“Every patient has a life story,” says Dr. Myles, “and not everyone’s story is so good. But I want to give each patient a reason to smile, by providing excellent dental work and really listening to them when they are here.” A daughter of a dentist herself, Dr. Myles was raised by
parents who demonstrated the values of respect and compassion at work and at home. The commitment to compassionate and high quality care is a lifestyle of Dr. Myles and her staff at Myles Family Dentistry. Graduating from University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1994, she has always placed a commitment to treating the underserved throughout her career. Four years after starting her dental career with Jeffries, Smith, and Associates, Dr. Myles joined the Job Corps office in Pittsburgh as the staff dentist. There she provided dental care to the participants in the Job Corps program. Margaret’s to open the Garfield Heights Community Health Center to reach the underserved community. The practice was acquired by Myles Dental, Inc. in 2003 where she continued the commitment to compassionate and high quality care to patients of all backgrounds. The practice eventually relocated to the East Liberty location in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In July 2014, Dr. Myles moved to the Wilmington area and began the building and planning phases for Myles Family Dentistry which is scheduled to open in July 2014. Currently, Dr. Myles is treating patients in the Wilmington area at MedNorth formerly New Hanover Community Health Center.
