March 9, 2021 Update: SECU Family House is still closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We're very grateful for everyone's continued support during this time and are planning to open again as soon as we are able. When we know our anticipated reopening date, we will announce it here on Facebook. We look forward to serving our community again in the future!

We LOVE our volunteers at NHRMC. SECU Family House is hosting a drive thru flu shot clinic for NHRMC volunteers only. If you are an NHRMC volunteer, please come get your flu shot and thank you for everything you do for our wonderful organization!

The SECU Family House at NHRMC recently received a $100,000 grant from State Employees Credit Union Foundation for operational costs and COVID-19 financial relief. This is extremely valuable as it will help us to sustain operations until we can open again and begin offering
support for loved ones from out of town with a hospitalized family member. A big thank you to SECU Foundation and members!

At SECU Family House we are thankful all year ‘round for the incredible support of our community. But today we want to send very special thanks to Larry Volk and friends (Robin Singletary, Abby Cobb, Deanna Williams, Nancy Kraselski, Kim Chesky, Chris Franklin, James Rivenbark - chef with Chaney Brothers, Reeds Jewelers and multiple others who donated financially) - who spent weeks planning and preparing to care for our families with an incredible Thanksgiving feast and have done so every year for years. We did it! You did it! We all did it! Because of Pamm Jones, the lovely community member who saw our video and donated her washing machine, and the fantastic individuals of Airlink Vitalink who delivered and installed it, SECU Family House has a fully functional laundry room!

A huge hug and big big thanks to our amazing community! ❤️ We couldn't do what we do without your support!

Hi! Megan Youssefi here, coming to you from the laundry room at SECU Family House. As you can see, one of our prized washing machines is out of service and it's going to cost a little too much to fix - so the smarter idea is to replace it. Before we do, I wanted to reach out to our network and our community to see if there's anyone out there who'd like to donate a washer. Someone who's doing a remodel, or who just wants an upgrade - we will take anything! Any condition, any color, as long as it works - we are happy for it. All donations are tax deductible, and we hope there's someone in our big big network that has a washer. Luckily, we have other washing machines but these facilities are used very often by the guests at Family House and we do need to replace it quickly. 🎃 Do these summer temps have you seeing red?! At SECU Family House we are thinking happy Halloween thoughts and seeing orange and black! 🧡🖤. The 2nd Annual Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat at SECU Family House will be here before we know it. Sunday, October 27th to be exact. Details to come, we can’t wait to see you there!!!

We're juggling what we have, but SECU Family House needs your help!

We have an immediate need for the following:

Travel sized soaps (any travel size toiletries, but we are currently out of soap!)
Toilet paper
Paper towels
Laundry detergent
Fabric softener
Kleenex
K-cups (any kind!)
Coffee creamer (powdered)

Happy from SECU Family House! This construction photo, taken right before our groundbreaking in September 2013, is giving us all the feels. A little less then six years later and our house is still the apple of our eye. We have welcomed thousands of guests, served countless meals, and given innumerable nights of peace to families who genuinely needed it the most. Don't mind us, we'll just be over here swooning.
