Dear KidzCare Families,

2020 and 2021 has been an unprecedented time. COVID-19 and the Delta Variant carries a heavy emotional and stressful load for our patients and staff.

As your pediatric healthcare team our commitment remains the same:
Balancing our patients healthcare needs and supporting our staff and their families whom are also impacted by the pandemic.

Awareness, understanding and compassion serve as top priorities for all KidzCare team members. Since 2003 our delivery of care to the pediatric communities of North Carolina has been unwavering and will continue to be as we head into 2022. As of today, Pediatricians have seen a 240% increase in pediatric CVOID-19 and Delta Variant within our patient families that include our individual team members/families.

Internally, KidzCare is fighting COVID-19 and the Delta Variant beside of our patient families. We have faced 9 KidzCare provider’s testing positive and double/triple digits in other support team members and their pediatric/adult family members who are on the road to recovery from COVID-19 and the Delta Variant, all fighting the virus beside of our patient families. The impact of COVID-19 and the Delta Variant has hit our KidzCare providers with substantial force.

Supporting our “KidzCare Healthcare Angels” is now embedded into our mission. Our “KidzCare Healthcare Angels” place themselves last and our patients first. We ask for your “GRACE”. Grace with understanding and patience during the continual and difficult days of COVID-19 and the Delta Variant in our pediatric community.

We apologize for any delay with scheduling your families appointments or longer than normal wait times. Volume has been remarkably high due to the virus and we understand frustrations will present.

Please be patient with us and we thank you for allowing KidzCare to be your chosen pediatrician. Our plea is simple, WE LOVE KIDZ (your families or those of our staff members), we ask for your understanding as we navigate to keep all families healthy.

Together we will get through these challenging times as we keep a forward momentum to eradicate the virus.

it’s a privilege to share updates and excellent news on Covid 19 vaccines

-FDA Approved Pfizer-Bio ntech vaccine for covid 19 last week and it’s being distributed and administered to front line health care professionals.

I was one of the fortunate ones to receive this on Dec 17, 2020 at 7am, it’s been more than 30 hours and am doing well with slight heaviness in head, very mild body ache, very mild soreness at Injection site. I worked 12 hours yesterday with site visits to Leland/ Wilmington /Hampstead and am working today. So far so good.
Am sharing the picture and proof of vaccinations to encourage you all to get one as soon as it’s available to you all.

In the mean time FDA advisory committee has approved emergency use authorization for Moderna Covid vaccine yesterday and hoping for final approval from fda by Saturday.

The Moderna Covid vaccine should be ready for shipment/ distribution and administration through health departments by next week if approved by fda tomorrow.

With these 2 vaccines and another one to come in Jan shall give us enough fire power to defeat this deadly virus which has created a havoc Around the world with this-pandemic.

The official first day of North Carolina Public Traditional Schools will be August 17th, 2020. AAP recommends annual well visits for all children. Rising kindergartners will need a physical in order to start school, as well as ensuring their vaccines are up to date. Rising 7th graders need Tdap and Menactra(meningicoccal). Rising seniors need a booster to their meningicoccal vaccine. Call now to get your children in for their well visits!

Good morning! Beginning Monday, May 4th our hours we will be back open until 5:00. However, we will still be implementing policy changes to help continue to keep our patients and staff safe from this virus. Sick / Fabrile (fever)patients will now ONLY be seen between 3:00 and 5:00. All patients that are not acutely sick will be scheduled between 8:30 and 2:45 including, but not limited to well visits, immunizations, adhd visits, asthma follow up, pre op, etc. Remember if your child is sick please remain in your car and call us upon arrival. We will send a nurse outside to triage your child from the car. God bless you all and may you all stay well!
