Happy January everyone

First off, I want to say thank you to everyone that donated and or helped me out during my hip recovery process!! That has meant the world to me ❤️🙏❤️

I am 3 weeks away from starting back part time.
Bare with me as I will only be taking 2 client's per day for the first few weeks.
The doctor told me 8-12 weeks and I'm starting back at 7 weeks then working into full time at 12 weeks. I can't over do it and will not take more than I can handle.

My hours are not changing
Monday through Friday 10-3 and Sat 9:30-2 closed on Sunday

Hi, my name is Loribeth and I am a full time massage therapist, mother and wife.
On Dec 12th I will be going under for my full hip replacement. I was born with Hip dysplasia and I have since developed osteoarthritis in both hips. My right hip is completely bone on bone and has limited me in all my activities in life. In order for me to keep working I have no other option but to get my surgery done. I am not the person to ask for help but I had a few friends and clients reach out and asked me about making a go fund me account. The hard and honest truth is I will be out 8-12 weeks of work and that scares me financially being out that long and at Christmas time. My husband and I are both self employed and we don't get paid time off or sick leave. Any amount will help me and my family through until I can get back to work in February. My hip surgery is scheduled for Dec 12th.
I will be out of the office til Feb 1st.

If I can get back to work sooner then I definitely will. I think I will drive myself crazy for 8 weeks at home 😂

Here is my outcome from meeting with my surgeon about my hip.

So many of you have been asking what has happened and what is going on with my hip. What I have come to find out is that I have Hip dysplasia. I was never diagnosed as a child or young adult. Over time my hip has warn down to bone on bone and now I have osteoarthritis in my right hip. I will be having a full hip replacement as soon as I can afford to take off work for 4-6 weeks. No worries.. this won't be until later on this year and not anytime soon. The thought of surgery scares the crap out of me, but to not be in pain anymore would be amazing ❤️

The issue is... there isn't a lot of data for hip replacement with 41 year Olds. Most replacements are 60-70 years old. This means that the device is known to last 25-30 years and I may possibly need another replacement somewhere down the line in my 70's. I will also more then likely need my left hip done at some point as well. I have arthritis that has already started but not anywhere near what my right hip looks like now 😔

This in no way shape or form has anything to do with working out and the workouts that I do. In fact this is what has kept me in shape and in tact. The orthopedic had to look twice at me as I walked into the examination room. My pain scale in the mornings are none to a 3 and by the end of the night I'm about a 7. I have learned that I have a high pain tolerance and great muscle strength. Until the day I go in for surgery, he told me to keep doing what I'm doing.

He asked me about inflammation and pain. I told him that I just started motrin last month. Otherwise it's only been CBD that has kept me out of pain. Maybe my collagen and diet has helped? Massage, physical therapy and selfcare has been the most important 🙏
