Many of our kids had never skated before! They were nervous about falling or looking silly but they did it anyway.

At GAA, we build a space where students feel safe to try new things, face fears, and grow together.

One parent messaged us to say, “You all are amazing. We take [our student] skating all the time and he won’t skate with us.” ❤️

That’s the power of friendship and encouragement! When they see their friends and teachers stepping out of their comfort zones, they follow right along.

Skating builds balance, coordination, and confidence all while teaching teamwork and perseverance. We can’t wait for the next field trip where our students keep learning, laughing, and growing!

On Wednesday and Thursday, we welcomed our largest group of middle and high school students yet and our hearts are full. At GAA, we create a space where every child feels safe, seen, and valued from day one.

Through honest discussions about respect, fun icebreakers, and team-building games, students quickly turn strangers into friends while learning to work together and support each other.

We also address real challenges like anxiety by practicing practical tools like grounding techniques, helping students build the emotional skills they need to thrive.

At GAA, we believe every child can become a successful, confident, and bold leader with the right environment, guidance, and encouragement.

Earlier this week, GAA welcomed back our K-5 students with activities that nurtured both mind and heart, from affirmations to breathing exercises and recognizing emotions. As we work to close learning gaps and build confidence, we’re also making mental health a priority so every child knows that achievement matters, and so does caring for who they are inside and out.

Please join our family group GAA Family for more information and answered questions.

Good evening GAA parents! We hope you all had an incredible summer and are as excited as we are for the upcoming school year. Tomorrow, August 4, marks the start of our staggered entry for Elementary students (grades K-5), and we can't wait to see their smiling faces!

School doors will open at 7:45 am, and while parents will not be able to enter the building, you can walk your student right up to the door. We kindly ask that if you have any questions, you wait until after drop-off to reach out. The school phone will be available after 8:00 am.

Looking ahead, Middle and High School students will kick off their staggered entry on August 6, Wednesday. We are excited to welcome them back as well!

Here's a quick reminder of the staggered entry schedule:
- Monday and Tuesday: Elementary students
- Wednesday and Thursday: Middle and High School students

School hours are from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, and please note that there will be no early pick-up after 2:30 pm.

We look forward to an amazing school year filled with new experiences and opportunities!

Countdown to our 2025 Commencement Ceremony 🎓🎓🎓

Senior Spotlight: Jalen Ruffin

Jalen Ruffin joined the Great Accomplishments Academy family in the 1st grade. From the very beginning, his mother’s protective and loving presence served as a powerful reminder of the sacred trust families place in our school. She sought a space where Jalen could thrive academically while also feeling safe, valued, and deeply cared for.

Throughout the years, Jalen has faced and overcome many challenges, growing into a confident, capable young man. His progress—both socially and academically—has been remarkable, and his journey is a true testament to perseverance and love.

Thank you, Ms. Nicole, for entrusting us with Jalen’s education and growth. We are honored to have been part of his story and will miss him dearly as he embarks on this next chapter.

This week, we come together to celebrate Teacher’s Appreciation Week! Let’s take this opportunity to express our immense gratitude to the amazing staff at Great Accomplishments Academy.

Every day, our teachers go above and beyond, shaping not only the minds but also the hearts of our children. Whether it’s through a heartfelt note sharing how a teacher has impacted your child’s life or a small token of appreciation like their favorite snacks, every gesture counts.

GAA is unique because each family chose it as the perfect place for their children to learn and grow. Let’s show our incredible teachers just how much we value their dedication and the positive difference they make in our lives.

Thank you for joining in this celebration of our teachers’ hard work and commitment!

🌍💙 Happy World Autism Awareness Day! 💙🌍

On April 1st, we celebrate the brilliance, creativity, and unique strengths of individuals on the autism spectrum. At Great Accomplishments Academy, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment where every student is empowered to thrive!

Autism is not a limitation—it’s a different way of seeing the world, and we embrace that diversity with open hearts and minds. Let’s continue to advocate, educate, and inspire acceptance every day.

💡 Ways to support and spread awareness:
🔹 Learn about autism and embrace neurodiversity
🔹 Show kindness, patience, and understanding
🔹 Celebrate the achievements of autistic individuals
🔹 Wear blue to show your support!
Tag us in your photos and share what autism awareness means to you! 💙✨

Love this one of a kind design? We will have it available to purchase next week as a fundraiser for our prom.
