March is Women’s History Month, and I’m especially grateful for the women I get to work alongside every day.

At Wilson Community Family Practice, caring for our community takes a dedicated team. The women I work with bring compassion, professionalism, and a true commitment to our patients every single day. Their work behind the scenes and with our patients is a big part of what allows our practice to continue serving Wilson and the surrounding community since 2012.

I’m thankful for each of them and the role they play in helping our practice grow and care for so many families.

We’re also grateful for our newest Family Nurse Practitioner, Tamika, who isn’t pictured here but has already become a wonderful addition to our team. We’re excited to have her and look forward to the great care she will continue to provide to our patients.

🌟 We are thrilled to welcome our newest provider, Tamika Corprew, FNP-C, to Wilson Community Family Practice! 🌟
Beginning January 12, 2026, Tamika will officially join our WCFP team, bringing exceptional clinical experience, a passion for patient education, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. She is truly a wonderful addition to our practice. 💙

About Tamika:
Tamika is married to her best friend and is the proud mother of three wonderful children. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, shopping, and spending time at her favorite place—the beach.

Her nursing career began in 2006 when she entered the Licensed Practical Nursing program at Wilson Community College. She later earned her RN in 2016 and most recently completed her MSN–Family Nurse Practitioner degree through Walden University. Tamika has a strong passion for diabetes management and education and holds a national certification as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist.

Professionally, Tamika brings extensive experience across multiple areas of healthcare, including nursing education, public health, and ten years of outpatient primary care with the Department of Veterans Affairs. She has also served as a nurse case manager with UNC. These roles have shaped her into a provider who prioritizes compassion, patient empowerment, and evidence-based care.

Tamika is truly excited to join Wilson Community Family Practice and looks forward to partnering with her future patients to support, guide, and enhance their healthcare journeys.
