Compared to similar times in past years, opioid overdose deaths in Wilson County are trending down. Let’s keep it that way.

Join us for free one-on-one or small group naloxone training at local libraries August 18–22.

From August 18 until August 22, the Wilson County Health Department, Wilson County Emergency Medical Services and Wilson County Substance Prevention Coalition will hold free Naloxone training for the community at several of our Wilson County Public Library branches. Everyone who attends will receive a free Naloxone kit. Together, we become a community that's not dependent on first responders, but a community of first responders.

Breastfeeding spaces are also available at the Wilson County Public Library (Main Branch), Choices Women's Center Wilson, and Smithfield Foods Packing Facility in Wilson. If your agency or business is interested in setting up a breastfeeding room, we are happy to assist with planning.
