Throughout the month of September, RC3 will be highlighting local partners and community members as part of our campaign!

Today, we'd like to highlight our partners at the Wilson County Health Department!

The Wilson County Health Department's mission is to improve health, prevent disease, protect against exposure to environmental hazards, and promote health equity for all. They provide many services at no or low cost to our community including primary care, child and maternal health, family planning, immunizations, WIC, nutrition, health education, and other educational outreach opportunities.

The Health Department also leads the Wilson County Syringe Services Program. This program offers free HIV and Hepatitis C testing, referral to substance use disorder treatment, and recovery services. Also included are free sterile needles, hygiene kits, Naloxone, and other supplies for people who use IV substances. Community members can access these services at the Health Department, RC3, Carolina Family Health Center, and the Mobile Unit (Mr. Dancy's and the new Mobile Care Unit seen in the picture!). For more information on this, you can call (252) 237-3141!

For more information about the Health Department and their efforts, please visit their website at https://www.wilsoncountync.gov/departments/health-department or give them a call @ 252-237-3141!

RC3 would like to again thank the Health Department for being a !
