WARMING STATION – WEDNESDAY, DEC. 3

Due to expected dangerously cold temperatures, Wilson will open a Warming Station on Wednesday, December 3.

📍 Location: First Baptist Church, 311 W. Nash Street
🚪 Doors open at 5:30 PM

The warming station provides a safe, warm place for anyone needing relief from the cold. All individuals seeking warmth are welcome.

Please help us spread the word so our neighbors can stay safe.

If you know someone who may need a warm place to get warm this evening, please share this message or reach out to them directly.

The Wilson County Health Department will be closed on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28, in observance of Thanksgiving. We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable weekend. Remember to prepare food safely, travel wisely, and look out for your community.

Today is Public Health Thank You Day, and we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible work of our Wilson County Health Department team. Every day, our staff leads with dedication, compassion, and a commitment to helping our community stay healthy and informed.

Public health is often behind the scenes, but the impact reaches every household in Wilson County. To every team member who educates, supports, protects, investigates, collaborates, and cares for our community, we say thank you. Your work matters more than you know.

If you have old syringes or sharps that need to be safely disposed of, today’s the day! Stop by between 1:00pm and 4:00pm for safe disposal.
📍1801 Glendale Drive, SW, Wilson
Representatives from Wilson County Emergency Medical Services and the Wilson County Substance Prevention Coalition will be on-site, along with the sponsoring agencies, Wilson Medical Center and the Wilson County Health Department.

Safely dispose of them this Saturday, October 25th, from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Walmart Supercenter parking lot (2500 Forest Hills Rd) during DEA National Prescription Take Back Day!

Take a look inside your medicine cabinet and make a difference! If you have medications you no longer need, haven't used, or that have expired, bring them to the event this Saturday, October 25th, anytime between 10 am and 1 pm, located at the Walmart Parking Lot. Let's work together to ensure the safety of our communities by responsibly disposing of unused meds!
