The WCSPC would like to thank the Wilson Education Partnership for bringing the Career Health Connections students to RC3!

We were able to talk to them about substance misuse, prevention, treatment, and recovery. And also train them on how to use Naloxone to reverse an opioid overdose! We appreciate the opportunity to talk to these students! Thanks again Wilson Education Partnership!!

No two paths to recovery look exactly the same ๐Ÿ›ค๏ธ. Trying different ways to reach your goals can help us find what works for us. Demitirius reminds us that every step towards recovery matters, as long as we stay true to ourselves and listen to our own needs.

Do you have any unused or unneeded medications? If so, did you know that Wilson County has several permanent medication dropbox locations where you can safely dispose of any medications?

The 6 locations are:
-CVS Pharmacy, 2101 Tarboro Street, Wilson, NC 27893
-Walgreens, 3001 NC Highway 42, Wilson, NC 27893
-Walmart Neighborhood Market Pharmacy, 2700 Ward Blvd, Wilson, NC
-WilsonValue Drug Store, 404 Nash Street SE, Wilson, NC
-Wilson County Sheriff Office, 100 Green Street, Wilson, NC 27893
-Wilson Police Department, 120N Goldsboro Street, Wilson, NC 27893

If transportation/travel or other issues make accessing these permanent locations difficult or impossible, the WCSPC can provide you with an in-home option, the Deterra in-home disposal kits! These kits can be used by simply adding hot water to the resealable pouch, waiting 30 seconds, and then safely disposing the sealed container in your trashcan!

Safely disposing of medications is a great way to protect your loved ones, community, and environment! Call us today to learn more about both our permanent dropboxes and in-home medication disposal options! Give us a call today @ (252) 991-7267!
