It is this thread, this "commitment to caring," which is woven into our cloak of service. As residents in our community, we have always held a strong belief that community giving is a vital part of life. As such, we have and will continue to be very active in a variety of community service programs. Our plan is to maintain this tradition, while continuing to set a standard of care that only a family business can offer.

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Dennis Rogers Lewis, brother of Funeral Director & Owner of Carrons Funeral Home Ms. Carla King and Assistant Manager Leverne King Williams CFSP, uncle of Funeral Dir. LeRon Horne, Esq. and son of Mrs. Geraldine King.

Congratulations!!


The Eastern District of Funeral Directors & Morticians Association of North Carolina, Inc. held its Community Service Awards Banquet honoring funeral professionals 40 years of age and under on Saturday, April 26, 2025. The banquet was held at the Hilton Convention Center in Greenville, NC.

J. LeRon Horne, Esq. and Elder Roderick Ward were among the honorees. LeRon is a NC licensed attorney at Jackson Law Firm in Raleigh, NC and serves on the staff of Carrons Funeral Home as a NC licensed funeral director. She is the daughter of Carla F. King and Ron Horne and the granddaughter of Geraldine Yelverton King.

Elder Roderick Ward has served in the United States Navy for eighteen and one-half years and is employed with Carrons Funeral Home as a family care attendant. He is completing his associate’s degree in Funeral Service at Fayetteville Technical Community College. Elder Ward is married to Bonita, and they have two daughters. He is the son of Brenda Williams.
