I was in a grouchy mood yesterday.

You know the kind… where everything just feels OFF.

And I could’ve stayed there.
Blamed people. Blamed circumstances. Got down on myself.

But that kind of energy helps no one.

And I know better.

So I paused… and looked within.
“What’s actually going on inside me?”

Because most of the time,
it’s not what’s happening around us…
it’s what’s happening within us.

So I shifted.

I took a walk.
Focused on what I could control.
Reached out to a friend for encouragement.

And I gave myself something I don’t always give enough of…patience.

Because sometimes… you’re just human.
Perfectly imperfect.

Today, I’m back in my body.
Back in alignment.

Gym. Seeing my son. Real life.
Things I love. ❤️

And choosing to love myself…
exactly as I am.
Grouchy mood and all.

I left this note for someone today.

Most people spend years trying to fit into something that was never designed for them.

Trying to match expectations.
Trying to follow the “right” path. Not actually the one their heart wants.
Trying to become what they think will be accepted.

But the truth?
There is only one you.

Not a version that’s been filtered, softened, or reshaped to fit the room.
The real one, the one that sees differently, leads differently, and shows up with a depth that can’t be replicated.

That’s not something to hide.
That’s the entire point.

The moment you stop trying to be like everyone else…
is the moment your real value becomes undeniable.

Remember who you are.
There is only one YOU. ❤️

Perfectly, imperfect.

Life isn’t perfect.
Neither are you and neither is anyone else.
And that’s not a flaw—it’s reality.

Show up anyway and be your messy self.

So good.
03/26/2026

So good.

Depth is powerful… but it’s also expensive.
And too many people want the benefits of you without the responsibility of you.

Your softness.
Your insight.
Your emotional intelligence.
Your creativity.
Your ability to see people.

They admire it. They’re drawn to it.
But admiration is not capacity.

Some people don’t know what to do with depth, so they do what they can do:
They misunderstand it.
They label it.
They reduce it.
They call it “too much,” “manipulative,” “intense,” “complicated.”
Not because you are, but because you spoke a language they haven’t learned.

So before you start offering your layers, ask yourself:

What do I intend to do with this connection?
What am I hoping to build here?
What am I hoping to receive?
Is this person emotionally equipped for the kind of love I carry?

Let your depth be revealed in stages.
Let your intention lead the way.

And if they’re real, they’ll stay consistent enough to meet you there.
The right people won’t punish you for being profound. They’ll approach you with care.

You can’t keep pouring from an empty well.

A lot of people think giving more makes them loving, generous… even powerful.

But when your well isn’t full, giving becomes draining.
And over time, that drain turns into quiet resentment.

Not because you’re selfish—
but because you’re depleted.

Real balance isn’t just about how much you give…
it’s about how well you receive.

Because receiving isn’t weak.
It’s what keeps your energy clean, open, and sustainable.

Love fills the well.
It can come from others… but it has to come from you first.

People come and go.
And if you depend on them for your water,
you’ll find yourself empty when they don’t show up.

Fill your own well first… so what you give is overflow, not survival. 😏

A beautiful day in the neighborhood… St. Kitts edition.

Where the breeze feels softer, the water looks brighter, and even the ordinary moments feel a little more magical.

Find magic every day.

I'm supposed to be working but I'm on the treadmill.

Sometimes you think you have to keep grinding, even when you’re exhausted or worried about money.

That worry comes from old beliefs that your self value depends on producing all the time.

Not that money isn’t needed, we do need it. But the belief that you must always be producing to have self value is what traps you.

It’s about understanding you need a break from the mind.

When you relax, exercise, meditate, or just step away, you give yourself a reset.
Sometimes you get more creative or figure things out better.

Here’s the truth: reset isn’t optional if you want to keep going without burning out.

You can’t pour from an empty cup, and worry never makes things work better.
It just keeps you stuck in stress.

You’re allowed to step away.
You’re allowed to reset.
The work will still be there tomorrow.

You don’t get stronger by refusing to rest.
You get stronger by coming back to balance and yourself.

The trees remind us of something important. This one was in Louisiana at a plantation.

Nature doesn’t rush.

It doesn’t force answers.

It simply grows, rooted, and steady.

When we slow down enough to notice what’s around us, we often remember things we already know deep inside but have forgotten.

Wisdom is rarely loud.

It’s usually waiting in the quiet moments we almost miss.

The answers you’re searching for are often already within you, waiting for you to become still enough to hear them and believe them.

Most people have spiritual gifts.
They just don’t trust what they’re feeling yet.

Everyone has spiritual gifts.
Some people just haven’t learned how theirs speak.

Some people feel energy.
Some people know things before they happen.
Some people receive messages through dreams.
Some people walk into a room and feel everything.

For me, my gifts have shown up in different ways over time, through intuition, knowing, feeling, and seeing what sits underneath the surface.

These gifts aren’t about being better than anyone else.
They’re about understanding how you naturally connect with spirit, with energy, and with truth.

The more you trust what comes naturally to you,
the more clearly your gifts begin to speak.

Your gifts aren’t something you have to chase.
They’re something you learn to listen to.

What kind of spiritual gifts have you noticed in yourself?

Safety begins within you.

This is a tree in my yard.

It’s a medicine wheel tree.

And in many ways, we carry the same structure within ourselves.

The roots of the tree ground it.
They give it stability and connection to the earth.

For us, those roots can be many things—our tribe, the people we love, our homes, the places that help us feel supported.

It’s natural to look outside ourselves for safety and belonging.

But true safety and security eventually have to live inside you.

Because people leave.
Life changes.
Loss happens.

When that happens, you are still you.

But if you don’t know yourself—if you haven’t built that inner ground—you can feel lost and afraid.

Real power comes from being rooted within yourself.
The love you carry—for yourself, for others, and from the universe or God—is something that can never be taken away.

When your roots are deep enough, even the strongest storms can’t uproot you.
When you live from that place, you are always home.

03/09/2026

If you don’t feel safe inside yourself, nothing outside of you will ever feel secure.

Most people look for safety outside themselves.

But real safety starts inside.

It’s the ability to come back to yourself when life feels uncertain.

To trust your own thoughts, your own feelings, and the signals your body gives you.

Your home isn’t just a place.

It’s also the relationship you have with yourself. Your center comes from you.

I’m curious, what helps you feel safe?

Is it a place, a person, or something inside you?

Sometimes, people laugh when they see the stones in my pockets.

Yes… I actually carry stones with me.

They ask why.
They tease me about it.
They think it’s strange.

But here’s the thing…
I don’t do it for them.

I do it because it makes me happy.
Because it reminds me of the earth, of being grounded, of something simple and real in a world that can feel loud and chaotic.

Not everything in your life needs to make sense to other people.

Some things are just meant to make you feel like yourself.

And if something small brings you peace, joy, or connection… hold onto it.

Authenticity isn’t about being understood.
It’s about refusing to abandon yourself.

When you know better, you do better.

From the late Maya Angelou, such a great statement.

This is the foundation of what Enlighten My Senses is about. I started this company back in 2000. Little did I know what it would evolve to be and offer. A book, a wellness center, holistic teachings and learning to love yourself, all of you. I am always striving to be these words above. It’s an everyday job.

Here’s a little about me:

I am a holistic coach, author, photographer and entrepreneur with a focus in healing, homeopathy, natural health and the wholeness of yourself. We have four main levels that can get out of balance.
