I’m not hiding anymore… and neither should you
We have two workshops coming up this week and there’s a bit of a twist coming that I haven’t talked much about in my previous workshops.
I feel like I have shared a lot of my story through social media, through newsletters like this one, and in the beginning of my workshops, so people can get an idea of who I am and what I stand for.
The internet has been a wild place these last couple weeks for me and I realized that it’s been awhile if ever at all, that I have shared the beginning of my myofunctional therapy story.
I’m going to share parts of my journey that I have said in passing or briefly mentioned, but this time I’m going to tell the whole of the story.
Like the times, yes I said times, more than once, I was fired for starting my business, splitting from my mentor, the lawyers I've had to hire, the other professions that have come at me, doctors who have used me to climb the "airway fame ladder," the unpaid work, the 3 week of maternity leave because my business partner was "too busy and that side of the practice didn't make them enough money to care about it."
I'm going to take you back 9 years ago when I found myofunctional therapy on a Craigslist Ad and knew without much research that in my gut this was my next path.... I just didn't realize how hard of a path it was going to be.
I was not an overnight myo success. It took years and a lot of grind to get where I am. That's why I started The Business of Being a Boss. So you could take was a learned and do it so much faster and with less heartache than I did.
