In my previous post on Grounding, I said that signaling safety to our nervous system is crucial if we are to shift out of survival stress (fight, flight, freeze) and shift into Rest, Digest, Heal, Repair, Rejuvenate.

The 2 primary ways we can assess & signal safety is by Grounding & Orienting.

Practicing Orienting in our environment when there is no threat present signals the nervous system that you are safe.
