Most college health forms have a TB screening questionnaire. If you answer NO for all the questions, you will not need a TB test. If you answer YES to any of the questions, you may need a TB test. It is important for you to read over this section of the form very carefully.
𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒅𝒐 𝑰 𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒂 𝑻𝑩 𝒕𝒆𝒔𝒕?
There are 2 types of TB tests. There is the skin test – often called the ppd or Mantoux test. This test is done in our office and requires you to return to the office to have it read 48-72 hours later. The other option is the QuantiFERON Gold test which requires a blood draw done at a lab.
