Walk the River Remembrance Request for Proposals: Join us in this project to honor the memory, history, and connections made during the 2015 floods.

This multifaceted project will strengthen community connections with visual storytelling installations that focus on the interdependence, collaborations, and co-creative leadership within our village community.

We are seeking leaders who can guide and work collaboratively to create and install storytelling pieces that honor the experiences of those impacted by the flood and the connections made with the individuals and organizations that came to their aid.

This project honors and supports our community’s mental wellbeing, cultivates courageous leaders, and accentuates the resilience and compassion of our community.

Donation-based Yoga is BACK! See you there!

Yoga is BACK!!!

The Greater Mercy Foundation will host yoga classes in partnership with WISD.

Classes will be held from 4:15-5:15pm in the Auxiliary Gym at Danforth Junior High School 200 Texan Blvd. Wimberley, TX, 78676.

Classes will occur once a week, Wednesdays from 4:15-5:15 pm starting September 18, 2024 through May 8, 2025 (no classes the week of Thanksgiving, two weeks at Christmas, or Spring Break week). All classes are donation-based for attendees. Contribute what your heart feels called to offer.

When we experience intense loss, and it is new, we are like newborns. We are in new skin in a new landscape, and it all feels unfamiliar and can even feel harsh to our highly sensitive sensory system. Care for yourself like you would a newborn baby, frequently with gentleness, kindness, and patience.

Raphael and Gabriel arrived unexpectedly Saturday, December 7, 2024 and have invited us to help find them a permanent home. In the meantime, a few community members will be taking care of them. The Greater Mercy Foundation, in partnership with Wimberley UMC’s Green Team in Care for Creation, is asking the community to:

Share Raphael’s and Gabriel’s story.

Help find them a permanent home. (Ranch or large acreage)

Temporarily provide food or monetary contributions for their care.*

*vet check-up, vaccines, neuter.

Brown Eyes and Blue Eyes showed up at my house this morning. They are sweet guys, smelled like onions so I’m sure they’ve been running the creek bed since yesterday. They are fed and watered and drying off on my deck. If you know them, let me know where they belong. They’re safe for now.
