❤️ Hey mamas! ❤️

After having my second back in February, I’m now ready to enter back into the birth field! That said I have some sad and exciting news…

📣 I’m moving! 📣

It’s been emotional to say the least because I know so many in the birth community here in the Wi******er area and I’m now starting over in the Shreveport/ Bossier City area.

I’m excited though for this new adventure and to meet so many new birth workers and mamas. I have lots of ideas for after our move and hopes to start back up with births and postpartum visits in September/October.

I want to thank all my doula friends and midwives here in VA that have inspired me and continue to support me in my birth work. I also want to thank all my past clients for their love and openness to letting me serve them and their families.

Here’s to new beginnings! 🫶🏻

To whomever needs to hear this tonight:

You literally cannot fail at giving birth. There’s not a 💯 right way. There’s not a grade at the end or a test you have to pass.

You get your baby from the inside of your body to the outside of your body in the way that feels right to you.

That’s all.

If something goes wrong during birth or takes a very different direction than originally planned, it’s not because you failed. Because you seriously can’t fail at this.

Deep breath.

🧡 Ring Slings in Pregnancy 🧡

Ring slings aren’t just for postpartum to carry babies and toddlers, they can also be used during pregnancy too!

Ring slings can be used as belly supports/ maternity belts as early as the first time. It helps to relieve back and hip pain associated with your growing belly by slightly lifting your belly up making it more comfortable for you.

If you’re using a brand new sling, this is great for breaking it in and learning to thread and use before your baby arrives.

❗️A caution for using a sling during pregnancy: As nice as it feels to have some extra support, it’s recommended to only use it for short periods of time (no more than two/ three hours tops). That way your muscles don’t become too reliant on that extra support all the time. You need those muscles to be strong for when labor comes 😉

🌺Hello lovelies!

It’s been awhile but still thinking about all of you and can’t wait to dip back into the birth world after our second baby arrives safe and sound!

I’m currently 25 weeks pregnant and this pregnancy has been wildly different from my first which threw me through a loop because I had so much planned still as a doula. But just as in birth, sometimes our plans shift and that’s ok!

I miss being an active part of the birth community and cannot wait to serve other women and families in their journeys. 💕

Hello, lovely people! 👋 Long time no see! I've been a little MIA as of late because...

We’re expecting again!

That being said, I can no longer book in-person doula clients for the foreseeable future.
I do have virtual doula availability for those who still wish to obtain the experience and knowledge of a doula, without one being physically present at your birth.

✨Another service I provide as a doula is virtual birth support. ✨

Virtual birth support allows a mother access to the knowledge and emotional support of a doula but for reasons can’t have a doula present at their birth or are uncomfortable with another person in their birthing space.

I had a friend reach out to me this week who is postpartum and struggling with their mental health. I felt so honored to help and just be there for them (not that I’m a professional, but more as a friend who could relate). I’m so proud that I shared my story and that someone hopefully felt less alone and had someone to talk to ✨
