I'm excited to be assisting at the Sports Medicine Acupuncture class in Vienna this weekend on Assessment and Treatment of the spine. This class was foundational in my education on how to treat back pain. I use it every day now!

Dr. Walston started Wi******er Acupuncture Clinic in 2016 upon graduating from Acupuncture school, and it quickly became one of the top clinics in the area.

“I have always been interested in medicine and health”, Dr. Walston said. “ I thought I was interested in traditional medicine but when I realized everything was pharmaceutical based, I wanted to do something different. I landed on Acupuncture because I felt like it was a medicine that really treated the root cause of issues. It gives people the ability to take care of themselves and have more control over their overall health and wellbeing.”

We are excited to announce that we are now offering Shiatsu Massage appointments on Wednesdays and Thursdays during normal business hours.

I am extremely excited to have a Shiatsu practitioner join our office because it will be a great way to compliment and further your treatment and progress. Shiatsu is originally a Japanese form of massage and utilizes hand pressure along acupuncture meridians or pathways. Performed over loose fitting comfortable clothing, shiatsu employs stretching and manipulates the body to improve blood flow and circulation as well as reduce pain and improve many functions of the body.

Sophie Swan is a certified Shiatsu Practitioner and Licensed Massage Therapist. She has recently moved back to the Wi******er area from Chicago where she studied at the School of Zen Shiatsu. She is very talented and will be a great addition to our office.

You do not need to be a current patient to schedule a Shiatsu massage.
