This Ballet Barre inspired fitness based workout incorporates elements of Yoga, Pilates, Ballet and Strength Training. Barre classes include specific sequencing patterns and isometric movements that target specific muscles groups. This pattern of exercise improves balance, strength, flexibility and posture.
Barre Basics
This Barre class is deigned for all levels. Incorporating basic ballet inspired strength training, Yoga and Pilates moves this class includes 40 minutes of standing exercises and 20 minutes of mat based exercises. With a focus on core stability, isometric strength training, balance and flexibility you are sure to feel leaner and stronger after this workout.
T’ai Yoga
T’ai Chi is a Chinese form of physical exercise characterized by a series of very slow and deliberate body movements. In this class we will begin with a Qigong warm up, move through a basic T’ai Chi sequence and end the practice with a very gentle flow of Yoga poses and a brief guided meditation.
Gentle Flow
This gentle flowing Yoga class moves through postures softly connecting the asanas (postures) to breath. Muscles release with gentle ease during this class. This format incorporates restorative postures and mediation for balancing and calming the nervous system.
Restorative Yoga
This Restorative Yoga sequence involves poses supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest. Poses include light twists, seated fold and gentle backbends. The practice will calm and reset your entire body and mind to prepare you for your final relaxation and mediation.
Yoga Barre Fusion
Add a gentle flow of Yoga postures to your Barre workout in this fun fusion class. This class ends with a short guided mediation to leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed.
Wine & Stretch
Bring your favorite beverage and see how using it can help you deepen your stretches. Enjoy socializing with your Drishti Fit friends during this fun and playful classes. *This is a donation based class.*
Yoga Pilates Fusion
This workout combines the best of both practices. Traditional mat Pilates exercises that are designed to strengthen your entire core are woven together with Yoga postures designed to increase flexibility and balance. This class is sure to leave you feeling stronger and leaner.
Weighted Yoga
This class is a combination of Yoga and weight training. Mixing traditional Yoga Poses with dumbbells to create a flowing sequence that will strengthen muscles and connect your body and mind through slow controlled movements. Class ends with gentle stretching and a brief relaxation.
Seated Flow
Ground your mind and body with this chair based class. Geared for beginners but perfect for all ages this class is a great way to relax head to toe without leaving the comfort of your chair. Move gently though basic Yoga postures, focus on balance and breathing, finally end your practice with a guided meditation.
Sit & Get Fit
This chair based class is perfect for beginners or those with limited mobility. The class includes a seated warm up, seated or standing gentle aerobics and strength training using weights, bands and balls. Class ends with seated gentle stretching.
Power Yoga
This class is a fitness based empowering Vinyasa practice. You will build internal heat, increase stamina, strength and flexibility as well as stress reduction.
