QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from su***de.
Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a su***de crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Americans, like you, are saying "Yes" to saving the life of a friend, colleague, sibling, or neighbor.
As a QPR-trained Gatekeeper you will learn to:

WHO SHOULD TAKE THE COURSE? The Heartsaver courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
• Child care workers
• Teachers/Coaches/Camp Counselors
• Retail Employees
• Fitness Center & Personal Trainers
• Construction Crews/Manufactory Employees
• Food Service Employees
• Community Volunteers/Employees
Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course completion card, valid for two years.
