Dermatology Associate's Inc is looking to hire outstanding Medical Assistants who are motivated and family-oriented self-starters, with excellent computer skills, who enjoy a fast-paced work environment, and have a positive and exceptional patient care attitude. We embrace a work life balance environment. Our office is open Monday
through Thursday from 8am until 4:30pm, with occasional Friday hours. Responsibilities include assisting physicians with all aspects of patient care, triage phones, light therapy treatments, assistance in Mohs surgery, and other duties as assigned.

All staff will work Monday through Thursday, 8am-4:30pm weekly, and are eligible for benefits that include:

We are saddened to announce the departure of Kaitlin Kersey, one of our wonderful nurse practitioners. We are incredibly grateful for her time here with us and the compassionate care with which she has served our community. Please see below her farewell message to her patients:

Dear Patients & Families,

I’m writing this as a professional update to inform you that I will be departing Dermatology Associates as of Wednesday, July 23rd. Providing care to you, and all of my Dermatology Associated patients, has been an honor and privilege. I leave knowing you are in the competent caring hands of my fellow providers here at Dermatology Associates.

While no decision to leave a great employer or beloved patient population is an easy one, I am excited as I step towards my next chapter where I will be providing wellness care and health optimization to men and women.

I’d like to offer a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to my patients for entrusting me with your care. I’d also like to thank my friends and colleagues at Dermatology Associates for their collaboration and guidance.

Lauren Shanholtz,NP is a dedicated Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with a strong background in maternal and newborn care. She graduated with honors from Potomac State College of WVU in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her commitment to excellence and patient care led her to further her education, pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University. During her nurse practitioner training, Lauren completed a 135 hour Intership with Dermatology Associates.

Lauren’s experience and advanced training have equipped her with a deep understanding of both the clinical and emotional aspects of patient care. Her approach combines evidence-based practice with compassionate care, ensuring a holistic and patient-centered experience.

Mohs Histotechnician

* Collect, orient, and section tissue for Mohs procedures.
* Prepare specimens for pathology evaluation.
* Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
* Evaluate and troubleshoot cryostat instruments.
* Prepare reagents and manage laboratory inventory.
* Maintain accurate documentation and records.
* Adapt and improve specimen preparation techniques.
* Advise and implement corrective actions for unacceptable sections.
* Ensure adherence to policies and regulations for accurate patient
care.

Qualifications:

* Applicant must have a minimum of one (1) year hands-on Mohs frozen section training.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
