Colorectal cancer isn’t just an “older adult” disease anymore.
According to the American Cancer Society, ~1 in 23 men and 1 in 25 women will develop colorectal cancer in their lifetime, with ~158,000 new cases diagnosed each year in the U.S.
Even more concerning: it’s now the #1 cause of cancer death in adults under 50, with cases in younger adults rising ~3% per year.
The good news? When caught early, colorectal cancer is highly treatable—with survival rates around 90–95% in early stages.
Lower your risk:
✔️ Get screened starting at 45 (earlier if high risk)
✔️ Eat more fiber, less processed/red meat
✔️ Exercise regularly
✔️ Avoid alcohol + avoid smoking
Early detection saves lives. Don’t wait.
