Let me introduce myself...
Hi! Welcome to “Yoga with Jann.” I have been practicing yoga for almost a decade. In 2019, I completed both my 200 yoga teacher training (YTT) and my 300 YTT and over the next few months I will complete my 500 registered yoga teacher certification (RYT) with Yoga Alliance.
The reasons I started practicing yoga back in 2011 is a completely different reason than why I stuck with it for so many years. Growing up, I was a gymnast and after transitioning to college I wanted an outlet for my love of arm balancing, body weight conditioning and flexibility. Although those are still things I enjoy, I continue to practice yoga and continue to be a life long learner in this practice, because it has grown into a spiritual practice. The body awareness, the mindfulness and its ability to help me slow down and center has enriched my quality of life in more ways that I truly understand at the moment. Yoga reminds me the truths in life, when the world may not be reflecting them. It brings deeper meanings into everyday moments and it has deepened my connection to myself, others and Mother Earth. I am eternally grateful for this practice.
As I grow and find my flow (pun intended) as a yoga teacher, I wanted an avenue to ensure that I keep those interested in joining my classes, yoga hikes, workshops, etc. in the loop.
