Position: Outpatient Physical Therapist - Manual Therapy Specialist
Location: Physical Therapy Specialists of Wi******er, Inc. 2433 Valley Avenue, Suite 103, Wi******er, VA 22601 (540) 450-8024
Hours: Part-time: Tuesdays/Thursdays 8:00 – 5:30 preferred. We are open to discussing other days and times.
Compensation: Competitive compensation
Job Description: As an Outpatient Physical Therapist specializing in manual therapy, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with various musculoskeletal conditions. Your primary focus will be on utilizing manual therapy techniques to promote pain relief, improve mobility, and restore function. Key responsibilities include:
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations to identify patients' impairments and functional limitations.
• Developing individualized treatment plans incorporating manual therapy interventions such as joint mobilizations, soft tissue mobilization, and manipulative techniques.
• Providing patient education on self-management strategies, ergonomic principles, and home exercise programs.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Documenting patient progress, treatment interventions, and outcomes accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Strong clinical reasoning skills and proficiency in orthopedic assessment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
