Forgot to post about this back in June, but I got the chance to be a speaker at Becker’s Sports, Spine, and Surgery Center meeting in Chicago. My first conference gig! It was a panel discussion on cool new stuff in sports medicine like biologic healing enhancement, new surgeries, wearable tech, AI, etc. (And I even got to sneak out to The Galloping Ghost for an evening🤩)

We are proud to welcome Dr. Stephanie Golding to our team of physicians. Dr. Golding joins our group of accomplished and expert surgeons as a specialist in Foot and Ankle related injuries and replacement surgery. Dr. Golding joined the practice effective August 1, 2023.

Dr. Stephanie Golding earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Temple University in Philadelphia. She went on to complete her 3-year surgical residency training in foot surgery with rearfoot reconstructive and ankle surgery at AdventHealth East Orlando in Orlando, Florida, one of the most prestigious podiatric surgical training programs in the country. While there, she served as chief resident, performed over 2,000 procedures, and gained vast experience in all areas of foot and ankle surgery. She has a special interest in flatfoot reconstruction, sports medicine, foot and ankle trauma, and arthritis. She also has specialized training in arthroscopic techniques.

Where do I still need to wear a mask?
CDC guidelines say fully vaccinated people must still wear a mask in health care settings, transportation hubs such as airports and stations, and public transportation. That includes planes, buses and trains traveling into, within or outside of the U.S. as part of a federal mask mandate that was extended to Sept. 13.

In general, healthcare facilities should continue to follow the infection prevention and control recommendations for unvaccinated individuals (e.g., quarantine, testing) when caring for fully vaccinated individuals with an immunocompromising condition.

Bone & Joint Specialists will continue to require masks of all their patients and family members. It will be up to the individual physician if they feel comfortable with letting fully vaccinated patients/family members remove their masks during the time they are in the treatment room.

Massive tearing of the rotator cuff tendon causes significant dysfunction, pain, and weakness. Here is a active, hardworking, 57 yo male. Superior capsular reconstruction and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty are options in certain patient populations. However, repair of the rotator cuff- if possible- is preferred. Here, with intraoperative tissue mobilization, we were able to achieve a strong arthroscopic repair.
