As a winter storm is expected to impact Wi******er this weekend with snow, ice, and cold temperatures, the Wi******er Police Department reminds residents to take extra precautions to stay safe.

Please consider the following safety tips:
• Avoid unnecessary travel and allow extra time if you must be on the road
• Slow down and increase following distance while driving
• Park vehicles in driveways where possible to help keep roadways clear
• Keep emergency supplies in your vehicle, including blankets and a flashlight
• Secure your home, protect exposed pipes, and bring pets indoors
