As winter approaches, we’re seeing the usual rise in colds, flu, and other seasonal illnesses. Our urgent clinics are busier than ever, so we ask that they be reserved for urgent needs that can’t wait for a regular appointment.

Using our urgent clinics only when necessary helps ensure that families with urgent concerns are seen as quickly as possible, while also protecting your child from extra exposure to germs that could make them even sicker.

🚨 URGENT SAFETY ALERT 🚨

The FDA and CDC have announced a nationwide recall of ByHeart infant formula due to a risk of infant botulism.

If your baby is using ByHeart formula:
🛑 Stop using it immediately.
⚠️ Watch for symptoms such as constipation, weak cry, poor feeding, or trouble breathing.
📞 Contact your pediatrician or seek medical care right away if you notice any of these signs.

Pumpkin Pageant Winner Announcement! 👻✨

Our annual WPC Pumpkin Pageant was a huge success! Every department brought incredible creativity and team spirit to the competition. The pumpkins were festive, imaginative, and such a fun way to celebrate the season.

But one pumpkin clearly blew the others out of the water (hint… 🐠).

Please join us in congratulating our amazing Nursing Department for taking home the 2025 Pumpkin Trophy! 🏆🎉

✅ Infants under 8 months of age

How to schedule:
📞 Call our office during regular hours or
💻 Send us a message through your patient portal to request an appointment.

Protecting your little one from RSV is an important part of keeping them healthy this season. We encourage families to schedule soon while supply is available.

Please note: If an infant received Beyfortus last season, they are unable to receive it again unless they're considered "high risk". If you believe your child may be eligible, please speak with your child's pediatrician.

Families, we have a bittersweet announcement (prepare your tissues)...

After more than three decades of caring for children and families in our community, Dr. Russell will be retiring at the end of May 2026.

Dr. Russell joined Wi******er Pediatric Clinic in 1991, and ever since, his clinical expertise, quick wit, and signature sense of humor have made him a favorite among patients and staff alike. His steady presence and compassionate care have touched thousands of little lives. We know he will be deeply missed.

While it’s hard to imagine the office without his wise cracks, we’re so excited for him as he looks ahead to a very well-earned retirement.

We invite you to join us in thanking him for his many years of dedication to Wi******er’s children and families. 💙

Hi families! 👋🏻

We are now scheduling for flu shots. The first available appointment is September 27th.

If you're interested in getting a flu shot for your little one, give our office a call or send us a portal message to get scheduled.

**Please note: We can only schedule flu shots for established patients who are up to date on their routine physicals and are at least 6 months of age. No other vaccine can be given at our flu clinics. Please be sure to arrive at your child's scheduled appointment time.

Today’s White House event on autism was filled with dangerous claims and misleading information that sends a confusing message to parents and expecting parents and does a disservice to autistic individuals.

We know autism is complex, highly variable and increasingly linked to genetics. Individualized plans, often involving a combination of developmental, behavioral, educational and social-relational strategies, can help improve outcomes that are meaningful to individuals and families. We also need and welcome additional investments in federally funded research to better support families of autistic children.

Families who have questions about their child’s medications, autism care plans or other health care should consult with their pediatrician or health care provider.
