Orah Wayne Smith,64, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at his home in Wi******er. He was born July, 23, 1961 to the late James and Aliene Gibson Smith in Wilmore, KY. He is survived by his daughter, Sherri Smith, Lexington ; grandhildren, Zack Abner, Ryan Blackburn and Makinnley Short; a great-grandchild, Mekhi Abner; Sisters, Holly Smith, FL, and Darlene Smith, IN; brothers, Bobby Smith, Nicholasville, KY and Terry Smith, Wilmore, KY. His service will be on Tuesday, May 12, at 1:00 pm at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, with Bro. Dewayne Walker officiating. Burial will be in the Wilmore Cemetery, Wilmore, KY.

Patricia Ann Burton, 70, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2025. She was born to the late James C. Barker and Cora Fuller Barker on November 6, 1955 in Wi******er. She is survived by her sons Tony M. Riggins (Heather Abner) and Tyler S. Tays (Selina), eleven grandchildren; a sister Charlotte Terry; a brother Larry Ray Patrick and best friend and caregiver Teresa McIntosh. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by daughter Tina Barker, son William E. Riggins and sister Vickie Barker. David Lewis Willoughby, 79, widower of Cynthia Ann Willoughby, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026. He was born September 23, 1946 to the late Millard and Alberta Price Willoughby in Bracken Co., KY. He was a retired salesman for the Keebler Cookie Corporation. He is survived by his daughters, Laura Willougby (Marvin) Hatton, Jr. and Sandra Willoughby; grandsons, Little David Willoughby (Laura) and Mackenzie Willoughby, granddaughter, Carrie Korb (TK), grandson David Grider, great-grandchildren, Easton, Emma, Ellie, Clayton, Amelia Willoughby, Kylie, Harper, Aliana Crase and Paislee Korb; siblings, Danielle Willoughby, Ted Willoughby (Jodi) and Bill Daugherty, along with many nieces and nephews. Billy Ray Morgan, 76, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026. He was born September 25, 1949 to the late Clayton and Betty Price Morgan in Lexington. Billy was a US Army veteran, retired firefighter from Lexington Fire department and an avid horseman and outdoorsman. He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Jo Hatfield (Brian) and grandchildren, Brianne Raye Hatfield (Molli Huffman) and Shelby Lynn Slone (Bailey); great grandchildren, Adalynn Raye Slone and Baylor Morgan Slone. Billy was also blessed with the beloved Stivers family. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son Billy Ray Morgan II and sister Peggy Morgan. His service will be on Saturday, April 25, at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, with Bro. Tim Christopher presiding, at twelve noon. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service. Ellie Mae Cox, infant daughter, of Alyssa Jones and Tyler Cox, was born into the welcoming arms of Heaven on April 14, 2026.

She came into this world in the quiet space between hope and hello, already at rest, yet forever awake in our hearts. Though no cry was heard, her life was deeply felt.

In the briefest moment, Ellie Mae brought immeasurable love, and a bond that time cannot touch. In the moment of her arrival, her tiny hands-perfect and still—left an imprint that will never fade.

She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Alyssa Jones; her father, Tyler Cox, big brother, Jackson Cox, and many other loved ones who will forever carry her close in their hearts.We grieve the moments we will never hold, yet cherish the love that will never leave. Ellie Mae’s life, though silent and far too short, was meaningful beyond words. Reminding us of the depth of love and the fragility of life.

Forever loved, forever missed, forever ours.

Phyllis Ann Meyer, 83, widow of Leonard W. Meyer, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026. at Center Point Health. She was born August 20, 1942 to the late William Lee King and Betsy Thompson King in Wi******er. She was employed 49 years by all three Clark County Hospitals, previously active in the Boy Scouts, Civitan and Relay for Life, and a US Army veteran. She is survived by three children, Clara Stairs, CA., Jeffery Meyer (Susan), TN, and Michael Meyer, Wi******er. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband of 58 years, she is preceded in death by brothers and sister. Her service will be on Wednesday, April 15, at 11:00 am at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, with Neil Salvaterra presiding. Visitation will be on Tues evening from 5-7 pm at the funeral home. Donald Ray Spargo, 79, husband of Linda Lisle Spargo, passed away Monday, April 6, 2026. He was born to the late Douglas and Gladys Spargo on August 26, 1946, in Cold Spring, KY. Donald was a semi-professional hockey player in Northern, KY before meeting Linda, while buying a horse and moving to Wi******er. He taught Welding at Clark Co. Vo-Tech for 30 plus years, was owner of Point Breese Tack Shop and was an avid farmer, horseman and leather worker. In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by his children, Andy (Becky) Spargo and Annie (Dale) Carter; grandchildren, Alexis (AJ) McGuire, Talen Spargo, Caleb Kline, Tucker Kline and Kayden Carter; great-grandchildren, Landon McGuire, Ellie McGuire and Beckett McGuire. He is also survived by his constant companion, his beloved dog, Ollie. A visitation will take place on Thursday, April 9, from 5-7 pm at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home. She was a homemaker and a member of the Christain faith. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Amber (Dusty) McIntyre, Mindy (Don) Day and Amanda (Doug) Carr; a son Brandon (Jessica) Goldie; 14 grandchildren; sisters, Pam (PJ) Bailey, Kathy (George) Harris, Stephanie Bates Michelle (Robbie) Hopkins,and Michelle Lynn (MichaeL) Goforth, brother Ronnie Mold, also several nieces and nephews. Evelyn M. Watts, 87, widow of Rev. John K. Watts, passed away March 31, 2026. She was born May 26, 1938,to the late James W. Hudson and Margaret Wills Hudson. She was a beloved member of Three Cross Baptist Church that she and her husband started many years ago. She loved playing the organ and teaching Sunday School and loved watching the Kentucky Wild Cats. Evelyn was a beloved mom, nanny and sister to her family. She was a true prayer warrior who loved the Lord her whole life. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her. She will forever be in our hearts until we see her again. She was owner of Robins Nest, Lexington and Fayette Co. Homemaker. She is survived by her daughter, Robin (David) Prewitt, a niece Gail (Glen) Chapman, and grandchildren William Shelby Prewitt and Michael Carson Prewitt. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, W. C. DeRossitt and nephew Gary DeRossitt. A graveside service will be on Tuesday, March 31, at 2:30 pm, at the Lexington Cemetery, with Tom Byrd presiding. No visitation will take place. Kaaren Kohl Westlund in Gloucester, Massachusetts; He grew up in Wi******er, Kentucky before moving to Lexington where he worked at Lowe's as a Flooring Associate. In his free time he liked to collect wrestling memorabilia and build model trains. He is survived by a daughter, Summer (Colby) Birkes, a brother Arnold (Lynn) Westlund III, sister Sherrill (Mike) Scheid, partner Sherria Hawkins, grandson Lincoln Luke Birkes and one granddaughter on the way. His service will be Friday April 3, 2026 at 6:00 pm at First Christian Church located at 24 E Hickman St, Wi******er. A visitation will take place from 4:00pm until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice in his name. The service will be conducted by Dr. Jerry Johns.
