This Valentine’s Day, we’re celebrating 45 years of serving our community.

We’re grateful to The Wi******er Star for helping us mark this milestone and for being beside us in sharing our story over the years. As Kim Golanski, Chief Engagement Officer, shared at our recent Town Hall, “It is not only our celebration — it is the community’s celebration.”

❤️ American Heart Month ❤️

For many living with chronic illness, heart health is part of an ongoing story—one shaped by changing diagnoses, long conversations, and moments that matter deeply. It’s the patient who feels their energy fade. The loved one who notices small changes. The shared hope for comfort, dignity, and meaningful time together.

During American Heart Month, we recognize that heart disease often exists alongside other chronic conditions, making care more complex—and more human.

At Blue Ridge Care, our palliative and hospice teams walk alongside patients and families through every stage of illness. Whether focusing on symptom relief, emotional support, or comfort at the end of life, our care centers on what matters most to each person.

Because caring for the heart also means caring for the whole person—and the people who love them.

📚 Did You Know?

Dr. Carter G. Woodson, known as the “Father of Black History,” founded Negro History Week in 1926 to ensure the achievements and contributions of Black Americans were recognized and studied. His work later led to the establishment of Black History Month.

Today, his legacy continues to shape how we learn, teach, and honor history.

This Integrative Health Month, we honor the whole person. 🦋

Integrative health brings together medical care and supportive therapies—mind, body, and spirit—to support healing, comfort, and quality of life.

At Blue Ridge Care, this approach means meeting people where they are, honoring what matters most to them, and offering care that supports the whole journey.

Today, we honor Dr. King’s legacy by recognizing the many ways service shows up every day — through compassion, presence, and a commitment to care that respects dignity and humanity. At Blue Ridge Care, service is at the heart of how we walk alongside individuals, families, and one another.

🦋 Bringing Adventures Through Grief to Wi******er & Loudoun County

Adventures Through Grief is a guided support program, led by our Bereavement Counselors, that helps teens (13–17) and young adults (18–26) explore their grief through creativity, storytelling, and meaningful connection.

Through a collaborative table-top role-playing experience, participants are guided through a safe and engaging space where they can better understand their feelings, strengthen coping skills, and feel less alone after the loss of someone significant in their lives.

If you’re in Wi******er or Loudoun County, VA and want to apply, connect with Blue Ridge Care:

GriefSupport@BlueRidgeCare.org
