Dr. Robert Duck is a Board Certified Family Physician who founded Valley Family Practice & Internal Medicine in 2004 after finishing his Family Medicine training at The West Virginia University Rural Family Medicine Program in Harpers Ferry. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia in 1995. From there Dr. Duck went on to train as an OB/GYN at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he was selected as Administrative Chief in his final year. After practicing in Winchester as an OB/GYN for two years, he shifted his focus to train as a primary care doctor. Dr. Duck prefers the breadth and variety of a Family Practice over his previous specialty, but maintains an interest in Women's Health. He also enjoys Preventive Care, minor dermatologic procedures and Sports Medicine. Dr. Duck enjoys trail running, mountain biking, and wood working and has recently taken up the guitar. He is an avid supporter of the endeavors of his two daughters, including Winchester United Soccer, BRYSA, and Girls On The Run. He also supports BRYSA as team sponsor. Dr. Meenu Gopal
Dr. Meenu Gopal is a Board Certified Internist who has been part of Valley Family Practice since 2008. Prior to 2008, she was practicing Internal Medicine at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, NH and was teaching residents at Dartmouth Medical School as Associate Professor of Medicine. She graduated from Medical School in 1992 from University College of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India and also got a degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Delhi University, India before she decided to pursue Internal Medicine at New York Medical College. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Metropolitan Hospital in New York, NY in 2000. She enjoys primary care with a background in Internal Medicine and Gynecology. Her special interests include Diabetes, Hypertension, Preventive Medicine and Women’s Health. She lives in Winchester with her family and supports the local swim team where her daughters swim. She continues to work towards providing charity care in developing countries.
