Grateful for 2025 🥹
We entered 2025 knowing our child was mold-sick.
As a functional health practitioner, I understood how to support his body—but I also knew that true healing could not begin without first identifying the source of exposure.
We tracked symptoms closely. We watched when they improved and when they worsened. The pattern became undeniable.
The source was clear: his school.
2025 became the year I advocated relentlessly for safe indoor environments within our school system. It was the year I educated anyone willing to listen about mold toxicity—and the reality that mold does not play by conventional rules. It was the year I challenged the narrative when limited air testing in just two areas was used to declare 70,000 square feet “safe.” 😵💫
It was also a year that required deep confidence—standing firm when people rolled their eyes, questioned my concerns, or assumed I was overreacting. It’s hard to understand this journey unless you’ve lived it.
It was also the year we made the difficult decision to pull our children from school so they could heal.
Through this process, one truth became painfully clear: traditional testing misses far too much. And if we were going to demand better answers, we also needed to become part of the solution—to fill the gaps in a broken system.
One Saturday, we talked about the idea of a mold detection dog.
The following Tuesday, we rescued Buck.
Three weeks later, he was training with one of the best mold dog trainers in the world. 🙌🏼
As 2025 comes to a close, I’m deeply grateful. Grateful to now have tools that help families gain confidence in their indoor environments. Grateful to help clients finally identify the hidden sources undermining their health. And grateful to have a louder, more informed voice around a topic that is still far too overlooked.
I’m stepping into 2026 with purpose, clarity, and so much excitement for what’s ahead.
