The Move U! "Move to Music" program, has finished for the semester but we resume on January 16, 2026, 12-1 PM every Friday, in Shingleton gym on the SU main campus. Join us to move, meet others with movement challenges and engage with SU students. See you in Jaunary!

Shenandoah University Division of Physical Therapy (SUPT) invites you to support our department in many impactful ways this Giving Tuesday.

Funds dedicated to student and community initiatives include:

MoveU! Adaptive Fund: Provides adaptive activities for children and adults with movement impairments within SU and the Wi******er community.

Melissa Wolff-Burke PT Clinical Education Fund: Supports the Clinical Education Activities of the SU
Division of Physical Therapy.

Physical Therapy Student Professional Development Fund: Assists third-year students with registration and/or travel costs for conference attendance or presentations.

School of Health Professions (SHP) Scholarship for Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (IDE) Endowment Fund: Supports exceptional graduate health professions students from diverse backgrounds at Shenandoah University.

Global Missions Fund: Facilitates service learning activities for PT students in low-resource environments.

Excellence in Physical Therapy Research Fund: Recognizes a student, alumni, or faculty member for outstanding physical therapy research.

Kelly McGaughey Roseberry Physical Therapy Service Award: Recognizes PT students who are passionate about supporting adaptive sports or serving the needs of active-duty military service members and veterans.

Physical Therapy Scholarship For Excellence: Awarded to graduate PT students who have demonstrated excellence in their undergraduate education.

You can also contribute to general scholarship assistance through the Division of Physical Therapy Annual Fund.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this year’s SUPT Job Fair a success!

We welcomed 65 vendors representing all clinical settings, with 38 of them currently serving as clinical education sites for our students. Dozens of alumni returned as representatives, connecting with and supporting all three student cohorts throughout the event.

A special thank you to Shenandoah University's Career & Professional Development, who partnered with our students to help organize and execute this event—your support makes a real difference in preparing our future professionals. 💙❤️

We’re excited to share that the Pediatric Special Interest Group (Peds SIG) is up and running again! Michele Wiley has stepped in as interim chair through November 2026 and will be working alongside co-chair Loan Nguyen and secretary Lauren Shirkey.

Our first meeting of the 2025–26 year took place on September 30. It was a great kickoff, with time for networking and important legislative updates from Tom Bohanon, PT, DPT, APTA Virginia Legislative Chair, and Maria Jones, PT, PhD, Director of Advocacy for APTA Pediatrics.
