Remember when evenings ended with the 10 o'clock news or the TV signing off with static? Now phones and streaming services never stop. You tell yourself "just one more" and BAM. Suddenly it's midnight.

A 2025 American Cancer Society study found screens before bed shorten sleep by about 7–8 minutes each night. It might not sound like much but, that adds up fast and no one wants to feel groggy the next morning.

Lets pretend the off air message is back and shut off screens an hour before sleep.

You build 95% of your melatonin for good circadian rhythms and deep restorative sleep from red and infrared light from early morning sunshine. I would say a large majority of adults suffer from not getting enough restorative sleep. The answer is simple and free! Never miss another sunrise and respect the darkness when the sun sets (not looking at screens and having overhead blue light on)
