Ren 17 also known as Tan Zhong is a great point for heart health in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is also an excellent point for releasing anxiety and fear, and is also useful for acid reflux. You can find this point by palpating down the sternum until you find a small indentation aligned with the 4th intercostal space. you can activate this point by rubbing in circles for 3-5 minutes. I wanted to take a moment to reach out to everyone during this pandemic. First of all, I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. We have all been living in a time of yang and have suddenly been forced into a time of yin, changing all of our lives drastically. I may not be able to provide acupuncture at this time, but I am available to schedule telehealth appointments. If you are feeling anxious or have concerns about your well being feel free to set up an appointment, and we can talk through a call, facetime or skype. I can prescribe herbal formulas, help with diet, acupressure points, meditation, and qi gong exercises. Our suppliers are taking many precautions to make sure they can continue to supply us with materials needed to keep everyone healthy.
