Today was Pajama Day at Saint Joseph Living Center as we honored the incredible children at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center bravely fighting cancer. Wearing our pajamas was a small gesture of comfort and solidarity in support of these young warriors.

Community members joined us for a fun afternoon of BINGO, and our lucky winners headed home with homemade soup. Nothing beats warm soup on a cold day—and sharing it with friends makes it even better.

We’re excited to share that you can now purchase an engraved brick through our St. Joseph Living Center “A Walk to Remember” campaign. This is a meaningful way to honor a loved one, celebrate a resident, or show your support for our community.
By ordering a custom brick, your message will become a permanent part of our courtyard walkway. Each brick is laser-engraved with your chosen inscription, automatically centered for a polished and lasting tribute. If you’d like to honor more than one person, simply submit a separate form for each brick.
Your contribution helps support the ongoing needs of our residents and strengthens the mission of St. Joseph Living Center.
Thank you for helping us build something beautiful together.
This week, St. Joseph Living Center proudly celebrated our veterans with a heartfelt ceremony recognizing the brave men and women who have served our country. Residents, families, and staff gathered together to express our gratitude and reflect on the remarkable sacrifices made by those who protect our freedoms.
The celebration included special readings, music, and moments of recognition for the veterans who call SJLC home. Each veteran was honored individually and presented with a token of appreciation as a small gesture of our deep respect and gratitude.
We extend our sincere thanks to the staff who helped organize this meaningful event and to our incredible veterans for their courage, service, and strength.
Today and every day, we honor you.

About SJLC
Saint Joseph Living Center was established in 1988 on 9 acres in picturesque Windham CT and our ministry is sponsored by the Diocese of Norwich. We offer short term rehabilitation, skilled nursing and end of life care.
While our community is a Catholic faith-based healthcare facility, St. Joseph Living Center admits residents of all religious backgrounds. Our suburban location affords privacy and a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of parking and accessibility.
Our community has both indoor and outdoor special features including a beautiful chapel with daily mass at 11:00am. Our enclosed courtyard with lovely gardens and a Koi pond is enjoyed by residents and their guests.
