Kickstands up on our summer programming☀️! Our first Warriors in Motion®🇺🇸 event is next week, where we'll take some of our nation's heroes out cycling through Windham, its neighboring towns, and across the river on the Albany-Hudson Electric Trail🚲!

It's our new favorite holiday! Happy National Adaptive Sport Day🥳!

Today we honor the adaptive sport community — the athletes, advocates, coaches, and organizations building a more inclusive world through sport.

This is the first and to celebrate, Move United Sport is hosting a special virtual panel which includes a number of Paralympians and adaptive sports industry leaders! It will take place 1-2 p.m. TODAY! Participation is free and open to the public!

From Move United: Honoring the legacy of disability rights champions, National Adaptive Sport Day is an annual day of advocacy for disability inclusion in sports and recreation. April 28th marks the anniversary of the signing of the regulations enforcing Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 — landmark civil rights legislation that barred discrimination against people with disabilities in federally funded programs, including sports and recreation...Nearly 1 in 4 Americans — approximately 61 million people — live with a disability, yet people with disabilities remain among the most underrepresented in sports and recreation programs nationwide.

Nothing say summer like Skiing⛷️ and Snowboarding🏂! Okay, so maybe snow sports aren't on your mind during the summer months...but they can be!

We're teaming up with Big SNOW American Dream once again to provide indoor adaptive ski and snowboarding lessons a few times over the next few months❄️, no matter how hot it is outside☀️! Click the link below for more information and to request a lesson in June, July, August, or September.

👏It’s Volunteer Recognition Day!

We’re grateful for our volunteers every single day, but today gives us the perfect moment to celebrate them out loud💚

Because of this incredible community, we’re able to truly Empower Lives Through Adaptive Sports. Our volunteers do it all — teaching⛷️🏂 , cooking👩‍🍳👨‍🍳, driving🚌, cheering👏, joking😂, and most importantly, creating smiles and lasting memories for our athletes all year long😁.

Their passion for serving the disabled community is what makes everything possible, and it’s a big part of what makes our program so special.
