We are proud of our Auxiliary members who have a long history of not only serving Windom Area Health, but serving the whole community in many ways. Auxiliary member Carol Determan started volunteering this year after a career in nursing. She's a firm believer in hard work. We support local projects such as:
✅ Community-based or collaborative projects focused on encouraging mental wellbeing
✅ Evidence-based training for mental health professionals
✅ Direct assistance to relieve financial hardship for those receiving mental health services.

Did you know that when you donate, 100% of your donation stays within the Foundation, to the Fund you designate? 👏

Today we're spotlighting our Women's Health Fund. Originally the Breast Health Fund, this Fund supports local women undergoing cancer treatments who have an unmet financial need. The Fund also supports Windom Area Health equipment needs for mammography.

We all know someone battling cancer. If you know a woman undergoing cancer treatment in our region, encourage them to apply for funding. The process is easy and confidential. Let's lift up the courageous women in our lives! 💪

The WAH Foundation Board is made up of seven directors, all right from our community. They have faithfully served our region through professional work, volunteerism, and their personal lives. Together, they lead the Foundation in the best interests of the hospital, donors, hospital patients, and the overall community.

🎉 You made our first Community Health Fair Unforgettable! 🙌

Nearly 200 guests explored 40 local vendors, connected with area health services, and celebrated community wellness right here at 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵! 💙 Guests even traveled from as far away as Fairmont to join the event!

The top compliment? 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘷𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 (and, honestly, “everything” about the fair 😉). From wellness checks to community connections, this event was centered on YOU, our communities! ❤️
