HOW TO GET TONED ⤵️

✅ Spend years trying to get bulky.

-

Most women who say they want to get “toned” need to be lifting like they want to get “bulky”

If you’ve never spent dedicated time lifting heavy with the sole goal of building muscle…. You likely don’t even have enough muscle for “toned”

Build some muscle...
then lose some fat....
and… voilá!

✨Toned ✨

…And you won’t get there doing jumpy circuits, HIIT classes, mini bands, and lifting the same 10lbs every week.

The 90 Day Pursuit starts January 8, 2024 - Join me!

Make 2024 the year you say goodbye to resolutions and hello to RESULTS.

Resolutions like...

“Lose weight”
“Get in shape”
“Eat better”

Always fail.

Why?

Resolutions lack sustainability. They focus solely on a singular, external outcome with no system to back it.

What we really should be focusing on is the HABITS and discipline that will ultimately lead to the goal.

The key to permanent transformation is habit formation...

That’s why we created the 90 Day Pursuit 🇺🇸

This isn’t a weight loss program, gimmick, or another trendy New Years Challenge.

It is a program designed to build the momentum and consistency to see 2024 all the way through and in turn, actually achieve the goals you’ve set out.

What is it?

🌟 90 days of devoted consistent ACTION on the things that we know drive results:

1️⃣ Remove one vice (alcohol, fast food, mindless scrolling, etc.)

2️⃣ Replace it with…

🍴 Logging your nutrition everyday
👟 A minimum of 8,000 steps per day
🏋🏼‍♀️ Lift weights 4 days per week
📚 30 minutes of personal development (reading, podcast, meditation, journaling, etc.)

The best part?

My entire coaching team is doing it with you 👏🏼
Hello accountability!

How the year starts is how the year goes.

10 things I learned the hard way….

1️⃣ Don’t miss out of 95% of your life just to weigh 5% less.

Go on vacation, get dinner with friends, eat the pizza, have the dessert. If you’re scared to do anything with the fear of losing results, is it really living? The best part… You can still do all of this AND get results.

2️⃣ Doing random workouts is a really great way to never reach your goal.

A program is your roadmap to results. If you’re on a roadtrip, but taking random turns everywhere… you’ll never reach your destination.

3️⃣ Consistency is less sexy than perfection, but it gets better results.

If you have to do everything perfectly, you’ll never do anything. And you’ll never get anywhere in the long-run

4️⃣ Being tied to a scale number is a special kind of hell.

The scale is one data point, but there’s a lot it can’t tell you… How you look, how you feel, how you perform… which are ultimately the things you’re after.

5️⃣ Stop being so obsessed with the “daily grind”

If you’re not having any fun you’re likely fueled by guilt and shame. Figuring out what’s driving you is the CORE of your transformation.

6️⃣ Your mental health is worth more than a few pounds.

Don’t focus so much on the physical at the expense of your mental well-being. It’s not a dream body if it’s a nightmare to maintain.

7️⃣ If you sacrifice sleep and recovery, you’re also sacrificing results.

Everything revolves around this - muscle gain, fat loss, and actually feeling GOOD.

8️⃣ Sometimes less is MORE.

Doing more — sets, reps, dieting, workouts, exercise, WHATEVER — doesn’t always mean MORE results. The body only has the capacity to handle so much.

9️⃣ The best diet is the one you can follow forever.

“I tried XYZ diet and it worked.. I lost 20 pounds.” Sis it didn’t work if you gained it all back once you stopped because it wasn’t sustainable.

🔟 Some of us are going to have to work harder for what we want.

Everyone has their own challenges and obstacles. But comparing yourself to other peoples journey gets you no where. The more you think about others, the less you think about yourself.

Being a high performance individual means LIVING it.

It's more than just building some muscle or being lean enough to see your abs.

You need to make it a 24/7 lifestyle.

There's a few key things you need to do daily:

💤😴 Sleep 6-8 hours a night including 3-4 hours of deep/REM sleep.

🏂 Move your body every day… go hiking, do cardio, lift weights, snowboard, go swimming. Do something.

😱 Do things that you fear, like taking a new class, scheduling a photoshoot, talking to new people.

💪🏼 Go to the gym and own every single rep, don't just go through the motions...

🥗🍴Eat to reflect your goals. If you want abs eat for them and cut out the sh*t...

🧘🏼‍♀️Train your mind. If you don't BELIEVE you're a high performance individual, you won't ever become one.

⭐️Inspire and lead by example… Be a role model for your kids, family, employees, friends, etc.

BONUS:
🇺🇸 Love America, stand up for what's right, and protect our freedoms. Our freedoms are what give you the opportunity to be great, and successful. Without them, we have nothing.

High performers aren’t born, they are conditioned by habit.

You can’t expect to be a high performer with low performance habits.

Last week I reshared a post from my coach about the timeline it actually takes to transform your body & accomplish your goals.

This is what he said:
“You x 5-10 years = Your Goal”

Its not the sexy advice that most supplements companies, influencers, or coaches who are trying to make a quick dollar tell you…

But it’s the truth🫡

Most people are trying to cram 5-10 years of work, habit/skill development, education, and experience into 5-10 months.

Most people start with good intentions, but stop when the motivation fades and they don’t get to their goal fast enough.

Most people have wasted 5-10 years of their life running in circles, and never getting anywhere...

5-10 years of redos with little to show for it.

The real “shortcut” ?
Slowing down, being patient, and extending your timeline.

Because really, what’s the alternative?

You’ve likely already tried all of the gimmicks and fads.

We know that hasn’t worked, and it never will.

Fast forward 5+ years… Do you want to be in the same place you are now? Or different?

If you want different results, you need a different approach.

➡️ Swipe to walk with me through the last 8+ years of learning, growing, progressing & paying my dues.

Know that you can literally have the best of everything... if you do what's necessary to get it.

If you want an athletic, lean body... You have to commit to strength training and nutrition management.

If you want optimal health... You have to commit to understand your current health status and do what's necessary to improve it.

If you want a great professional life... You have to commit to a plan and be willing to execute every single day.

If you want to surpass any goal... You have to commit to figuring out what you actually want to accomplish and say "no" to anything that doesn't serve you.

It's all very simple, not easy.

Too many people play victim to their circumstances...

"I can't do ______ because [insert excuse here]."

Or they compare themselves to others as a way to justify their own complacency and unhappiness...

"She only looks like that because she has good genetics"
"He only has that car because his parents are rich"
"They only landed that account because XYZ...."

🤔 Or maybe those people have accomplished the things you aspire to because they've committed to doing what's necessary.

You can have the best and be the best if you do the same.

Change your mindset, change your life.

The body that you reveal in fat loss is the body you build when NOT in fat loss.

Muscle just doesn’t “exist” under that layer of fat.

You have to ADD it first.

You can’t add it by eating sub 1,300 calories
You can’t add it only eating 75g of protein.
You can’t add it when your body is undernourished.
You can’t add it when all your workouts are fast-paced and light weight.

Most women spend all their time dieting, living low calorie, chasing “the last 5lbs” ..and never truly building their body.

🙌🏼 Take the time to eat sufficiently, build a foundation of muscle, improve your metabolic health, get strong, get confident…

If you’ve never built anything, you’ll have nothing but a skinnier version of the heavier you.

A list of things that happened when I loosened the reins on my diet:

I created a better relationship with food
I didn't have to micromanage everything
I found the enjoyment in training again
I got stronger and improved my training ten-fold
I got greater, and better results
I enjoyed life more
I enjoyed meals out with friends and family again
I enjoyed treats and "fun" foods guilt-free
I became more present
I became more in tune with my body
I built a body that I am proud of
🍑🍑🍑

There's a difference between just eating healthy/training and being overly obsessive about it.

For me, I was so obsessed with being in control that it was impacting several other areas in my life.
..I would bring my meal prep Tupperware out to dinner.
..I would skip hangouts with my friends to get 2 workouts in everyday.
..I didn't miss one day of tracking food for 4 years.

✨ Sometimes loosening your grip is the best thing you can do for yourself.

I get it, it can be scary/intimidating/stressful/uncomfortable... You name it.

But hear me out.... if you let go of the restrictions you put on yourself, the food rules, the hyper-fixation on numbers., etc.... Whats the worst that could happen? 🤔

You can always go back to the way you currently do things... but I promise you won't want to.

If this resonates with you, and you want to chat or need help working through it. Send me a DM 💕

Most people prematurely jump into fat loss far before they're ready for it...

Which is why they never get the results they want.. There's a huge disconnect between what they say they want vs. what they're doing.

A lot of women I speak to are so intimidated by implementing a gaining phase... They can't even fathom the thought of it... 🫣

In their mind: They hear gaining 😱 and instantly think it means putting on a bunch of weight and body fat... and that's just not the case.

In reality, it's probably the one thing that's preventing them from actually looking the way that they want.

Understand this one thing: A gaining phase preps your body for future fat loss.

Think of it like this...
🎁 Muscles are like the presents under the Christmas tree.
Fat is like the wrapping paper.

If there aren't any presents... there's nothing to unwrap.

Fat loss reveals the work put in when you're not dieting.

Typically I will spend 8-9ish months in a gaining phase before jumping into fat loss. Currently on the tail end of that now and getting excited to start chipping away here soon.

You can't diet and cardio your way to a better body forever.

If you want to get the highest return on your training, get stronger, and progress faster…. Stop chasing novelty with your workout program.

“I’m bored”
“Let’s switch things up”

Why❓

Are you bored because the movements aren't "fun" anymore and they don’t excite you?

Are you bored because your last fitness program had you jumping around, moving faster, and sweating more?

Do you want to switch things up because what you’re doing now isn’t working? How do you know? What’s your measure of if it is or isn’t working?

Its great to enjoy the training you’re doing, but its only going to be as fun& exciting as your perspective of it.

Those who make the best progress typically do very mundane, routine training and they LOVE IT.

🔥 It fires them up because they’re connected to it, they understand what it’s supposed to do, they make measurable progress, and they know how to challenge themselves every time they walk into the gym.

❌ You don’t need a new workout every session or every week. Randomization and constant program hopping just aint it sis.

✅ What you need is to commit to a quality routine and to take an interest in learning more about your current program. Doing so may very well be the thing that unlocks the fun that you’ve been missing.

I've seen so many coaches putting their clients through these ridiculous training sessions.... More often than not it's nothing but a bunch of junk volume and intensity techniques to have the client chasing a feeling of complete exhaustion afterward.

You don't need to be crawling out of the gym after every workout.

You don't need to be dripping in sweat.

You don't need to reach a level of soreness where you can't walk the next day.

Those metrics are not indicative of a good training program.

A good training program is judged on the results it produces.

Things like... strength, muscle mass, body recomp, etc.

❌ You don't need to be doing 800 pulse squats and a million different leg exercises to get those results 🥴🙄
