Kevin Thomas, the regional Director of Operations at Linda Valley Care Center in Loma Linda, CA has been selected to participate in the prestigious, national Future Leaders program at the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).
Kevin was nominated by CAHF to participate in the yearlong program, which offers training and guidance for long-term and post-acute care professionals. He is one of 42 future leaders accepted into the program.

“Kevin has an interest in innovative approaches and collaboration to improve the care continuum and is a great choice to represent California,” said Craig Cornett, CAHF CEO/President. “With nearly 15 years in the long-term care profession, Kevin is a passionate, dedicated professional.”

A licensed administrator, Kevin oversees operations at Linda Valley Care Center, an 83-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, Linda Valley Villa, a 98-apartment retirement living community for active seniors and Linda Valley Assisted Living, a newly opened state of the art assisted living and memory care community. He also oversees Revere Court in Sacramento, Devonshire Acres in Colorado, and Woodlands Assisted Living in Maryland — all communities operated by Chancellor Health Care.

Kevin received a bachelor's degree in business administration and an MBA from Hope International University in Fullerton. He presently serves as chapter president for CAHF’s San Bernardino/Riverside Chapter.

The Future Leaders program covers theories and practical applications in quality management, customer satisfaction and leadership. The year-long leadership program kicks off with a three-day symposium on September 28 in Washington, D.C.

Kevin is a soccer fan and has a personal goal of learning to play a musical instrument so he can 'jam' with his three children. Congratulations Kevin!

From the CDC (Centers for Disease Control). CDC Updates, expands lists of conditions that make people more at risk for severe COVID19 illness.

Every activity that involves contact with others has some degree of risk right now. Knowing if you are at increased risk for severe illness and understanding the risks associated with different activities of daily living can help you make informed decisions about which activities to resume and what level of risk you will accept. This information is especially critical as communities begin to reopen.

Everyone should continue to do their part to implement prevention strategies, such as focusing on activities where social distancing can be maintained, washing your hands frequently, limiting contact with and disinfecting commonly touched surfaces or shared items, and wearing a cloth face covering when you are around people you do not live with, especially when it is difficult to stay 6 feet apart or when people are indoors. By taking these steps, you can help protect yourself, your loved ones, and others around you, including those most vulnerable to severe illness.

CDC is closely monitoring an outbreak caused by a novel (new) coronavirus in Wuhan City, China.
