Have you tried spinal decompression yet? We absolutely recommend it!
This spine traction therapy provides various benefits, including pain relief for chronic back pain, improved spinal disc health, mobility, and pressure alleviation.
It can also be a good treatment for conditions like sciatica, herniated discs, spinal injuries, and even arthritis.
Give it a try and see how spinal decompression can gently and effectively address back pain. Plus, see what other types of decompression/traction our table can do!

My first experience with chiropractic came at 22 years old. I started having the worst back pain I could possibly imagine. I assumed, like many, that I must have slept wrong, I must have pulled something, I must have lifted something improperly. The pain went on for months and I tried everything imaginable to get relief. One day I came across a word that I had never seen before (in fact, I couldn’t even pronounce it right!), that word was chiropractic.
I found a chiropractor local to me and went in for my first exam. He asked me what brought me in for my visit and I gave him my same list of excuses from above “I must have slept wrong”, “I must have exercised improperly”. He looked me in the eyes and asked me if I had always been sleeping and working out the same way than why would this suddenly be happening now? Why not at 14? Why not at 18? I told him I didn’t know and he proceeded to ask me a question that I now ask my own patients “What controls everything in the body?”. Being a “know it all” 22 year old, UC Davis student I answered “The heart and lungs?”. He fired back “What fires the heart and lungs?”. That left me speechless. He asked me another question “What protects the nervous system?” I said “Bones???” “Yes!!” He replies (finally I got one question right).
From there I started to learn that my multiple childhood falls, the skateboarding, the sports, etc could have caused a structural shift in my spine. No wonder the physical therapy wasn’t working, no wonder the TempurPedic pillow brought no relief. No yoga, no stretches, no pill, none of those things can move a misaligned bone (or bones in my case).
From there we went straight to X-rays and there it was, in black and white. All the twists and turns right in front of my face. “We’ve got work to do” he said to me. He asked me how many visits I thought it would take to get better. I said “Three visits?”. He giggled “No no no, we have a journey of about four months, it could be more, it could be less.”
After that I received my very first adjustment. To my amazement I was able to put on my own socks for the first time in months (I was in pain but just the ability to do that action was amazing to me). That is where my journey began..
How I became a Chiropractor
The weeks went by and I started getting better and better with each adjustment. I started asking my doctor more and more questions about chiropractic. I asked him why he saw ninety year olds and babies. He said to me, “Chris, what controls everything in the body? Does Grandma Ruth have a nervous system? Does little Johnny?”. My eyes opened even more than before.
I started helping out with office events and attending talks as my fascination for chiropractic grew. One day my doctor said to me, “Chris, you were born to be a chiropractor.”
This was an exciting but terrifying thing to hear. I only had basic science classes under my belt. The thought of chemistry and physics was overwhelming but I didn’t let that stop me. I went home and searched for the classes that I needed. The science classes required were three weeks away from starting. That was my sign. I registered for the classes and the rest is history.
Once in chiropractic school I dove into pediatric training because I was told that I have the personality and patience for a big pediatric practice. I became best friends with those who specialized in neurological testing, I trained and rubbed elbows with the top chiropractors in the country. I started living and breathing chiropractic. It became my passion and my mission in life. I was trained by doctors who saw over four hundred patients a week. I was exposed to the most extreme cases imaginable. I perfected my adjustments from infants to the elderly, from the dainty to the burly 270lb blue collar workers spine.
My promise to you. I always keep in constant contact with my colleagues. There is no ego in my practice. When I come across complicated cases where we are not getting the results that I expect. I ask for second opinions from my fellow chiropractors and even bring them in on the weekends to accommodate my patients to co-manage the case with me. There is no length I won’t go to to help my patients. In my office you are my family and I would never give a recommendation or treatment that I wouldn’t give my own mother, brother, niece, or nephew.
