Why is Bertie County living in the dark ages and refuse to speak up on time like other counties in NC? Over and over and over again, we see natural disasters and my backwards county acts as though we never need help. We need to replace the local government with people who care. Why are y'all so afraid of these big bad wolves in sheep's clothing who just don't care? Time to speak up Bertie County!

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services will provide food assistance in the form of disaster food and nutrition services benefits, formerly called food stamps, in Beaufort, Carteret, Craven, Dare, Halifax, Hyde, Lenoir, Pamlico and Tyrrell Counties.
