DuPage Care Center-DPCC

DuPage Care Center-DPCC Short Term Rehabilitation and Long Term Care. Serving DuPage County since 1888. Residents of the home farmed the 217 acre parcel and had a herd of dairy cattle.

The DuPage Convalescent Center was originally built in 1888, started as a County Alms House for the indigent. They supported themselves and provided additional food to the county jail inmates. It wasn’t until the 1930’s that it became a nursing facility that provided much needed health care to the community. It has developed into one of the most modern, best equipped, professionally staffed, treat

ment and rehabilitation centers for the chronically ill in the State of Illinois. Since its inception, the DuPage Convalescent Center has continually maintained a high standard of professionalism in all phases of its operation, and the facility is recognized for its excellent patient care and intense in-service education programs. It complies with standards set by the Illinois Department of Public Health, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services

❤️There is so much love at DPCC today!
Residents and staff dressed in shades of red and pink. There were numerous deliveries of treats and flowers, as well as visitors dropping by. However, the highlight of the day was the Valentine balloon deliveries organized by the recreation department!

We are greatful to everyone who contributed to this effort.

🎈Balloons represent much more than just a Valentine message; they provide an opportunity for social interaction and connection. As residents read the messages, they were thrilled to share stories about their families and friends. These moments create unforgettable experiences—there’s nothing quite like the joy on someone’s face when they see staff and volunteers bringing 100 balloons down the hall.😍

⭐⭐Today, we also celebrated a remarkable milestone for recreation supervisor Linda Gray, as she commemorated her 40th year of providing balloons! A sincere thank you to her for her unwavering commitment to making the past 40 Valentine Days truly unforgettable at DPCC!!!
