Public Notice: Closure of Urgent Care of Cowley County
After careful consideration, we regret to announce that Urgent Care of Cowley County will be permanently closing. Our final day for walk-in patients will be Thursday, April 10, 2025.
Over the past eight years, our staff has been dedicated to provided quality care to our community. We are proud to have offered assessable and affordable care to so many in our community, especially when there were no other urgent care options available locally. Unfortunately, the rising costs of medical supplies, equipment, and staffing combined with stagnant insurance reimbursements have made it impossible to continue operations in a sustainable way. The expansion of other convenient care options in both Ark City and Winfield—while beneficial to the community—has contributed to the financial strain on our facility.
This has been a difficult decision to make and was not made lightly. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our community for trusting us with your care over the years and to our exceptional staff who have worked tirelessly for our patients.
Walk in appointments will be available Tuesday April 8th, Wednesday April 9th, and Thursday April 10th from 8am-5pm.
All medical records will be maintained by Family Care Center. To request a copy of your records or have records sent to your primary care provider, please call 620-705-5050.
Family Care Center will remain open and continue delivering high-quality primary care to all of our patients.
