I’ve been teaching yoga for 13 years.
I did CrossFit for 10.
I did kickboxing for around 3 years, even taught some classes, too.

You would think I had the, "move better, feel better" thing down.

The truth is I was chronically tight and dealing with persistent pain in my hips and shoulders.

My body was layered in compensations.
Tight here. Overworking there. Avoiding things I didn’t even realize I was avoiding.

And honestly… I just thought that was normal.

Yoga therapy disrupted that pattern.

Not because I was doing harder poses.
But because I finally started to slow down, to refine my movement, and learned that rest is a vital component recovery.

Small changes.
Less forcing.
Less tolerating.

And over time… things started to feel different.

I found more ease and clarity in how I move.

I’m still working on it.

But I move better now than I have in years, and I am about to turn 45 in a couple weeks.

That’s the kind of work we’re doing in my Total Body Tune Up workshop.

If your body feels stiff, off, or just not quite right…
it might not be about doing more.

👉🏽 It might be about doing things differently.

We’re focusing on hips and shoulders and how they actually work together.

Happy Sunday yall! ☀️☀️☀️

I’ve started thinking about summer activities for my 8-year-old.

Then I thought…

I could put together a kids yoga class 🤔

So I’m considering a summer class (ages 7–12).

movement + simple mindfulness + a little fun

Wednesdays at 10am.

👉🏽Comment YES or MAYBE, or message me if you want details.

If your low back always feels tight, it is not just tight muscles

It is often how your hips and spine are working together

This is one way to start changing that

Small, controlled movements that help your body move better, so you are not constantly stretching the same spots

I teach this in my Total Body Tune Up workshop
