Katie is an invaluable part of our team, dedicated to providing exceptional, compassionate care for women throughout every stage of life—from adolescence through menopause. As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Katie offers a wide range of services, including routine annual exams, prenatal care, family planning, and management of various gynecologic health concerns.

🩺 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁! 🌻
Please join us in welcoming our new nurse practitioner, Katie Darnell, to Sunflower OB/GYN! A Wichita native, Katie recently relocated to Winfield and is excited to join Dr. Miller and the Sunflower team in providing comprehensive and compassionate women's health care to the community.

She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Fort Hays State University. Katie's experience includes working as a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit at Children's Nebraska and the Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum Unit at Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph Hospital. She's also completed clinical rotations in various specialties, including acute care, chronic care, and rural health.

At Sunflower, she will offer a wide range of services, including well-woman exams, birth control counseling, and care for gynecological conditions. Katie's husband, Justin Onwugbufor, has also joined the care team at Community Health Center in Cowley County, and a joint meet and greet event is being planned in collaboration with the William Newton Healthcare Foundation and the Community Health Center.
