Wingate University School of Pharmacy located in Wingate, NC Wingate University has 2 locations: Wingate NC and Hendersonville NC.

The focus of the academic program of the Wingate University School of Pharmacy is clearly on the student of pharmacy. The overarching goal of the curriculum is the assurance of the mastery of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and attitudes prescribed by the profession and by society for the pharmacist of tomorrow. This unique curricular approach has been carefully crafted for continuous quality improvement of its structure and content. Its endpoint can be seen in the healthcare servant of tomorrow whose commitment to competence does not end upon graduation and whose dedication to the service of mankind is evident in all considerations and actions undertaken.

🍎 Great weekend at the Apple Festival in Hendersonville! Our students hosted a booth where they handed out sunscreen samples and educated the community on the importance of sun care in preventing melanoma!

We’d like to highlight our own Dr. Dinkins for receiving the 2025 FNCAP award from the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists!

Congratulations Dr. Dinkins! We are so proud of you for your outstanding contributions to pharmacy and leadership!

NCAP stated Dr. Dinkins is widely respected for her leadership in community health and her dedication to educating future pharmacists!

To be eligible for this award, pharmacists must be a member for at least 5 years, have continued involvement in their community, demonstrate leadership, and have multiple contributions to the practice of pharmacy.

Some of our Hendersonville students celebrated the new school year with a Back-to-School Social last Friday! 🎉 Students had the chance to hangout, share a meal, and connect with our faulty members!

Wingate street fair was a success!

PDC and student ambassadors set up tables at Wingate University’s main campus street fair to engage with students who may be interested in pharmacy school.

P4 Student Timika Harris Robertson and Dr. Taylor recently traveled to Honduras to complete a global health rotation. Over the week, the medical team served nearly 100 patients and provided acute care as well as chronic disease management in the remote village of Guachipilincito.

If you are interested in this rotation, be sure to come to the interest presentation in the fall! More details will be shared during the semester.

🌟 New Student Spotlight! 🌟
Meet Zhana Winters! She is from Greensboro, NC.

Zhana chose pharmacy because she has always been fascinated by how medications work in the body and how they affect it. Her passion grew when she saw how important medications were in helping her father recover after being in a coma.

She chose WUSOP because she could see herself learning and growing on our campus! Being close to her hometown and experiencing the hospitality and support during her interview made her decision even easier.

🌟New Student Spotlight!🌟

Meet Anndrea Jackson! She is from Forest City, NC. She chose pharmacy because it has always been her dream and stems from personal experience. An adverse effect of a medication landed her in the hospital for six weeks. After that, she was determined to learn more so she could educate herself and others who might find themselves in a similar situation.

Anndrea chose WUSOP because, when she toured, she immediately felt right at home. She said everyone she interacted with was kind and welcoming.
