We’re proud to celebrate the Class of 2027’s Pinning Ceremony, a milestone that marks the transition from the classroom to clinical practice. Our P3 students have officially completed their didactic journey and are preparing to begin their APPE rotations—one step closer to becoming pharmacists.

“The Pinning Ceremony celebrates a major milestone for the third-year professional students of Wingate University School of Pharmacy. It marks the completion of their didactic coursework and the transition into their experiential learning year. The pin displays the Wingate name, their year of graduation, and the mortar and pestle, a traditional symbol of pharmacy practice. The student is pinned by a faculty member, symbolizing their transition from learning in the classroom to learning in the pharmacy practice setting.”

We are so proud of the hard work, resilience, and dedication shown by this class. The future of pharmacy is bright! Congratulations to the Class of 2027, and best of luck on your APPEs!

Our P3 students presented their capstone research at the Wellspring Symposium, marking the culmination of over a year of dedication, growth, and hard work! Beginning in the spring of their P2 year, the capstone course series challenges students to think critically, collaborate, and apply their knowledge in meaningful ways in their communities and these projects are a true reflection of that effort. These students created their own projects, posters, presentations, and manuscripts alongside guidance from faculty advisors.

This milestone represents the completion of their didactic journey here at WUSOP and the transition into their final year of APPEs. We are incredibly proud of the commitment and perseverance these students have shown every step of the way. Congratulations, P3s!
