🕒 Hour by hour, volunteer efforts add up to powerful support for local nonprofits and the people they serve. That’s exactly what happened during Day of Caring, and we’re so grateful to everyone who gave of their time to make it possible.

Members of were proud to attend the 2026 Mental Health Matters Luncheon hosted by Mental Health America of Southeast Texas.

Our own Dr. Edward Gripon was honored with the Doris and Dr. Harry Starr Award for Excellence in recognition of his nearly 60 years in psychiatric medicine and the more than 40,000 individuals he has treated throughout his career.

Riceland Psychiatry is fortunate to have Dr. Gripon as our Medical Director where he leads and supports the important work of our four psychiatric nurse practitioners.

We were honored to support the 2nd Annual Child Abuse and Forensic Services, Inc. Sponsorship Brunch. Hearing Jenna Quinn share her story as a survivor of sexual abuse, and her role in the passage of Jenna’s Law in Texas and similar efforts across the country, was both powerful and deeply moving.

At Riceland, caring for our patients goes beyond medicine. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where patients are heard, protected, and respected. Our providers uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, and when someone needs help, we are here to connect them with the trusted resources and support available to survivors of abuse throughout Southeast Texas.
