Acadian Air Med & NELA provided critical care in response to a neuro-emergency in Tallulah earlier today, airlifting the patient to a hospital in Shreveport. We are thankful for the expertise and dedication of local air medical service providers in northeast Louisiana.

NELA, Richland Parish Sheriff's Office and Acadian Air Med work to airlift a critical patient following a three-vehicle crash on Monday in Holly Ridge. It occcured at the intersection of Highway 80 and Highway 183. Three additional patients were transported to area hospitals by ground ambulance.

Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the untimely loss of EMT Tiffany Burch, who passed earlier today following a sudden and unexpected medical emergency. Our thoughts are with her loved ones, her family, her children and the entire ambulance service during this difficult time. Information about services will be shared when available.

This evening, we received the esteemed Safest 70 award from the Louisiana Workers Compensation Corporation (LWCC), the largest workers’ compensation carrier in the state.

The prestigious award recognizes excellence, outstanding performance and dedication to workplace safety.

This marks the first time we've been ranked among the top 70 of approximately 20,000 policyholders insured by the LWCC. Only one other ambulance provider in the state received the award.

We are honored to be among the leaders in creating a safer and stronger workforce in Louisiana.
