Randy Archer Coppedge

Randy Archer Coppedge, born September 10, 1958, in Houston, Texas, entered the presence of his Savior on May 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and the grace of God. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, cousin, and friend, Randy lived a life marked by faith, generosity, hard work, and a sense of humor that could both charm and roast you in the same sentence.

Randy earned a Business degree from East Texas Baptist University and went on to pursue his master's studies in business at Oral Roberts University. He married his sweetheart, Kimberly Bunch Coppedge, in 1981 after the two met while attending ORU. Together they built a life rooted in faith, family, perseverance, and unconditional love.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years; two daughters, Brittany Peoples and husband Mark, and Bethany Baze; seven grandchildren, Andrew and Madison Peoples; Junior, Brynlee, Kimber, and Ragan Rivera; and Cole Baze; and one treasured little great-granddaughter, Emersyn Rivera.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rhea Allen Coppedge Sr. and Frances Gee Coppedge, as well as siblings Margaret Ann, Jerald Monroe, and R.A. Coppedge Jr.

Randy's life began as a Navy "brat." He lived in Japan, California, Louisiana, and several Texas cities during his early years before the family settled in Winnsboro during his junior year of high school. Hard work and long hours on the family dairy farm helped shape the dependable and resilient man he would become. Over the years, he worked in banking and property appraisal, retiring in 2024 from Cypress Bank in Mt. Pleasant, TX. Randy approached life with intelligence, determination, and the kind of grit that made others trust him instinctively.

A proud graduate of Winnsboro High School's Class of 1976, Randy excelled in athletics. His "15 seconds of fame," came from kicking a field goal that helped secure a district victory over Mt. Vernon during his senior year. He played baseball at ETBU and never lost his love for sports. Whether fishing, golfing, bowling, cooking, building, or bringing Kimberly's ideas and his girls' dreams to life, Randy had a way of making ordinary moments memorable.

Above all else, Randy loved people. He served others generously, often through food, fellowship, and simply showing up when someone needed help. His Christian faith was not performative; it was lived out consistently in the way he cared for others. He loved his church Grace Fellowship in Winnsboro and valued all of the friends he made there.

Those who knew Randy will remember his sharp mind, dry wit, and legendary sarcasm. He loved teasing the people he loved most, and if he picked on you relentlessly, there was a good chance you were one of his favorites. He could solve almost any problem, debate almost everything, and somehow still make people feel safe, cared for, and deeply loved.

More than anything, Randy was a family man. He loved being "Grandaddy," and his family was the center of his world. His presence was unwavering, his love was sacrificial, and his legacy will live on in every life he touched.

While his family grieves deeply, they rejoice in the promise that because of his faith in Jesus Christ, this is not goodbye forever. They take comfort in knowing Randy is now healed, whole, and at peace in the presence of the Lord.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." - Matthew 25:23

Virginia Rose Brogden

Virginia Rose Brogden, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in Burleson, Texas, on May 24, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on November 24, 1936, in Wood County, Texas, Virginia lived a life marked by love, family, and faith.

Virginia dedicated her life to being a devoted homemaker, creating a warm and nurturing environment for her children: daughter Shelli Williamson and her husband, Kenny; and sons Jeff Brogden and his wife, Deanna, and Johnny Ray Ingram and his wife, Maria. She was the cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren: Aaron, David, Jarrod (Lauren), Scott, Brant (Meagan), Cord (Kayna), and Bree (Kevin); and the proud great-grandmother of 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Each of her descendants carried a part of her loving spirit, ensuring her legacy would thrive through the generations.

A faithful member of First Baptist Church in Quitman and later Grace Fellowship in Winnsboro, Virginia found great joy in her church community. Her passion for music led her to sing in the First Baptist Church choir, a role she cherished deeply. Even as her health declined and she could no longer attend services in person, Virginia remained connected to her faith by watching online. She often volunteered with various church programs, embodying the spirit of service and generosity.

Virginia spent 6 years at Advanced Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Burleson Tx, where she helped many of the residents- helping them cut up there food, sharing her food and drinks, helping dot bingo cards and traveling throughout the building to hand out daily devotionals, and blank prayer requests cards and then gathering the requests to give to the visiting church members and pastors. She spent many hours a day helping those that could not help themselves and less fortunate. She made us aware if someone needed a new pair of gloves ... or a warm hat...a new shirt... sharing her candy and treats. Right up until she fell gravely ill this January.

Virginia was also an avid lover of antiques, spending many cherished years owning and operating the Second Hand Rose antique shop, where her finds often sparked joy and conversation among family and friends.

A visitation will be held on May 30, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home Chapel in Winnsboro, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Friends, family, and loved ones are invited to gather to honor her life and share memories. In accordance with Virginia's wishes, she will be laid to rest at Hopewell Cemetery in Winnsboro, where her parents, grandparents, and many other family members are buried.

Virginia Rose Brogden will be dearly missed, but her warm spirit, unwavering faith, and deep love for her family will endure in the hearts of all who knew her. As we say our goodbyes, we celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who brought light to every room she entered.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, James (J.D.) and Catherine Ingram, and her brother, Junior D. Ingram.

Russell Gene Reeves

It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Russell Gene Reeves, a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, believer, and friend, who left us peacefully on May 17, 2026, at the age of 62. Born in Amarillo, TX, and later finding his home in East Texas, Russell lived a life brimming with love, laughter, and generosity.

Russell was a longtime member of the Broad Street Church of Christ, where he shared his faith and kindness with many. He loved animals and enjoyed caring for them. Because of his love for God's creation, he spent many hours fishing, stargazing, and camping, always appreciating the intricacies of nature. A proud alumnus of Texas A&M University, he carried the Aggie spirit with him, cheering loudly with his family as he watched Aggie Football.

Russell had a big heart, whether it was for his family, his country, or a stranger he crossed paths with. He followed Jesus closely and dedicated time to sharing his faith with those overseas or simply next to him at Walmart. His humor is unforgettable; he could always bring a laugh with one of his jokes, pranks, or goofy faces.

Family was the heart of Russell's world. He is survived by his father Curtis Reeves and step-mother MaryAnn; his mother Maria Hindman and her husband Miles; his siblings Scott (and wife Elizabeth), Wayne, Jennifer (and husband Scot), Jami (and husband Andrew), and Ryan (and wife Candace).

Also, his wonderful children: J.C. (and wife Kerri), Danielle (and husband Chris), Noah, Luke (and wife Erica), Faith, Hope (and husband Bryson), Joy, Rena, Lyric, Lily, and Lucy.

Russell was especially proud of his six grandchildren: Theodor, Daisy, Maple, Fern, Roger, and Bruce, who brought endless joy and purpose to his life.

A celebration of Russell's life will take place on June 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Broad Street Church of Christ, where friends and family will gather to share stories, laughter, and fond memories of this incredible man. Following the service, Russell will be laid to rest in Mineola, TX, at 11:00 AM.

In honoring Russell's life, let us remember the laughter he brought, the love he shared, and the legacy of warmth he leaves behind. He will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
