Welcome Kasey Green!

Please join us in welcoming Kasey Green, our new Billing Coordinator at the Winona (Sarnia Square) location!

Kasey was excited to join Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center because of our focus on mental health and the opportunity to be part of an organization dedicated to helping individuals access the care they need.

She is especially passionate about supporting clients behind the scenes by working to ensure patient claims are approved whenever possible, helping remove barriers so individuals can continue receiving mental health services.

Kasey brings valuable experience in continuous improvement projects as well as company event planning and coordination, skills that add both structure and creativity to her work.

Outside of the office, Kasey enjoys hiking and exploring nature. One of her favorite memories from 2025 was a trip she took with a friend where they were able to feed and pet safari animals—a truly unforgettable experience.

We’re excited to have Kasey join the team at Winona (Sarnia Square) and are grateful for the important role she plays in supporting both our clients and staff. 💙

Welcome Sarah Anderson!

Please join us in welcoming Sarah Anderson, our new Receptionist at our Caledonia location!

Sarah joined Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center after hearing positive things about our organization and was excited for an opportunity to put her strong organizational skills to work in a meaningful setting.

She is especially passionate about being a calm, friendly, and welcoming presence for individuals as they enter the clinic, helping set a supportive tone from the very first interaction.

Sarah brings a love of administrative work to her role and truly shines when it comes to organization—especially when spreadsheets are involved! Her attention to detail and efficiency will be a great asset to the Caledonia team.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys staying active by biking and playing soccer, as well as spending time with friends. One of her favorite memories from the past year was co-leading a mission trip with her church’s youth group to Canada, where she helped build a tiny home as part of a service project.

We’re excited to have Sarah as part of the Caledonia reception team, helping create a welcoming and organized experience for everyone who visits our clinic. 💙

Welcome Dorothy Moore!

Please join us in welcoming Dorothy Moore, our new Receptionist at the Winona (Sarnia Square) location!

Dorothy was drawn to Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center because of our commitment to serving the community and the important work we do to support clients and community members.

She is especially passionate about connecting underserved communities with resources and assistance. Dorothy recently graduated from Winona State University with a bachelor’s degree in English Teaching and brings a love of writing to her work. Her creative nonfiction and poetry have even been published—so we’re lucky to have such a talented writer on our team!

Outside of work, Dorothy enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, working out at the gym, and taking peaceful walks around the lake at sunset. One of her favorite memories from the past year was student teaching at Winona Senior High School, where she loved supporting her students both in the classroom and by attending their sporting events and theatre performances.

We’re excited to have Dorothy join our reception team in Winona, where she is one of several receptionists helping create a welcoming and supportive experience for everyone who walks through our doors. 💙

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.—a leader whose vision was grounded in dignity, justice, compassion, and care for the whole person.

Dr. King once said, “Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane.” At Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center, our work is a direct response to this truth. Each day, we strive to ensure access to compassionate, respectful behavioral health care for all, regardless of circumstance.

By meeting people where they are, honoring lived experience, and supporting hope and recovery, our staff and partners help reduce barriers and address inequities that too often go unseen.

On this day of reflection and service, we extend our deepest gratitude to those who live out these values through professionalism, kindness, and unwavering dedication. Your work matters. It changes lives. And it strengthens our communities.

May today remind us of the importance of equity, connection, and compassion—not just today, but in all that we do together. 💙
